Daughter was so excited as she has recently discovered the various uses of the watercolor pencils in art class, but was disappointed in missing colors and duplicates of others…

My daughter loves these color pencils they work absolutely amazing you can use them as a regular pencil or you get a wet paint brush and brush it and make it look like a watercolor

I love water color pencils and this set is great. Lots of vibrant colors. The reason I gave this set 4 stars was because the tin was dented on one corner when it arrived and some of the pencil points were broken. I do, however, use theses pencil all the time. I dip the pencil points in water or baby oil for smoother coloring. I prefer the baby oil since some paper will wrinkle when water is used.

the price was good, however, the pencils were not very pigmented after adding water to use as watercolor pencils. After using the pencils a bit, they are much more pigmented than was initially thought. Very good value..

The set comes exactly as pictured and well wrapped/boxed. The sharpener and eraser (assuming you get the package that includes them) are lose inside the set box, but outside of the colored pencil set, so secure enough for shipping and gift wrapping, but might get lost later if the user isn't careful.The only consideration that I removed a star for was the sketch pads are smaller and seemingly lower quality than might be expected. They might be enough to get someone started with the set and used to the colors, lining, and water effects possible, but if you're an experienced artist or gifting this to one, you're going to want to get them a separate higher quality & larger sketch book (if they don't already have one).

I really loved it however its a gift for my son and cant state specifically if they have nice touch to colors or the consistency. I thought the pads would be much bigger and sadly the sharpener did not come in my package as advertised. I will have to ensure to buy one to add to the gift box as Ill be wrapping it up for Christmas.
