I was surprised to find that the organic buckwheat flour didn't really have a fragrance to it. This flour is visually light as it is made from organic hulled buckwheat. I used it to make crepes and brownies. I found that the flour blended in beautifully when mixing with other ingredients. The flavor is mild and not as robust as wheat flour. When it came to the finished products, both tasted delicious and knowing it was a healthier option to traditional all purpose flour made it a winner for me. My family noticed the two finished recipes tasted a little different but were unable to pinpoint the specific difference. The manufacturer noted that there are 24 servings per package. Each serving is 1 oz with 94 calories, 1 gram of Total Fat, and 4 grams of Protein. This product is USDA Certified Organic, Non-GMO, Kosher, Raw, and Vegan. This is a Product of the USA. The manufacturer also noted that the flour was packaged in a facility that also processes tree nuts and wheat. If you are allergic to one or both of these items, please be aware. Great wheat substitute
This is a healthy, tasty alternative to white flour that can be used for a wide variety of different things. I really like the taste and found that it was easy to incorporate into recipes. I used it to make pancakes and they were delicious! I really want to try to crepe recipe provided in the product description.If you're looking for little ways to eat healthier, swapping in buckwheat flour is a great idea! It also has a super long shelf life, so you don't have to worry about using it all right away. It's a little pricier than regular flour, but not too steep that it isn't worth it. Definitely recommended!
