Used these for my niece's First Holy Communion & they worked beautifully! Came with a recipe, but I used my own sugar cookie recipe. I suggest you roll whatever dough you are using slightly thicker (slightly! more that 1/4". Only b/c of size & ability to move w/out cracking. Everyone loved them. They looked absolutely gorgeous! Was pressed for time as far as decorating, but pulled it off in the end. Having the dove, fish & chalice shape really made it for me. I did have 2 crosses, but loved the fancier one! Found some great ideas for designs on Amazon also. They are just as sturdy as any others you can buy in craft store (J or M's), really nice size cookie also. Not small, & not too big; 2 inches give or take either way depending on shape.
