Cars 3 Junior Novelization (Disney/Pixar Cars 3)

A pretty boring kiddy styled book that adds little depth to an already boring disappointment of a movie. Has some screen shots from the movie in the middle of the book to add something visual to it but unless your kids actually like cars 3, give it a miss as there’s nothing special here.

I bought this for nighttime reading with my 3yr old son. He loved that there were some color pictures included, and I loved reading it aloud at night. We both looked forward to climbing into his bed and reading each night. The reading level was just right for him to use his imagination and to understand what was going on (we read it before the movie came out). And when the movie came out and we went and saw it he recalled parts from the book as he saw them come to life in the movie. I would highly recommend this book as a first chapter book to read aloud to little ones.

This was my grandson's first "chapter book". He is entering 2nd grade and can read it fairly well by himself. It was new to him not having pictures, but the pages to be torn out for cards with the cars pictures was a help.

Rather disappointed that the book comes with a clearance stick and another stick right on the book. Makes giving it as a present very hard.
