**Q: 1. where is it used?
2. how does it filter hydraulic fluid as the ad says, when it's called a coolant filter?**
A: I used it for an aftermarket coolant filter for a Ford diesel pickup.  It replaced the filter that came with the aftermarket kit.  I believe the description refers to 'hydraulic fluid' generically as a filter for flowing liquids.

A: yes it will fit

**Q: Will this fit a 99-03 7.3 diesel?**
A: This is a coolant filter.  I have a aftermarket filter system on my 02 7.3 and this fits but it’s not stock.
