Once upon a time is now and forever: Beauty and the Beast, the Emmy Award-winning, fan favorite show is more captivating than ever with The Complete Series. This unique fantasy-crime drama series features the adventures and romance between Vincent (Ron Perlman), a mythic, noble man-beast and Catherine (Linda Hamilton), a savvy assistant DA in New York. These two share a strong, mystical bond that enables Vincent while in his underground lair to sense whenever Catherine is in danger in the World Above.

Love this series
Love that I can watch entire series in order rather than try to keep up with reruns on TV. Ya miss one you gotta wait for it to come back around. No problem with owning the series.

My favorite DVD
I remember coming home from school and watching Beauty and the Beast at 3pm. They had it on StartTV but then the channel lineup changed so I had to finish watching because I didn't know Catherine was pregnant with Vincent's baby or that she was murdered. Oh my goodness my heart hurt when Vincent let out that roar as Catherine was in his arms. I didn't like Season 3 I watched it one time just to see how it ends. It's a great show and I love Vincent's voice especially when he reads a book.

A Television Show for the Heart.
I have wanted the entire series of Beauty and the Beast for ages. This Christmas, I bought it for myself. I'm old enough to have seen it when it was on TV, and immediately fell in love with it. Like any show, there are some episodes that aren't that interesting, but most are phenomenal. I don't know if this was Ron Perlman's first time in a role requiring such a physical change, but his still being able to act and create the unique voice for "Vincent"was outstanding work. Linda Hamilton was a good choice for Catherine, because she wasn't just another pretty face. The character she created had a gentleness, and fierceness when needed especially over Vincent. I loved watching their friendship slowly change into romantic love. The "Beast" was supposed to be frightening, but I would say only startling at first glance. I always thought Vincent was incredibly sexy. Truly my favorite show. From a nearly three season run (a 3rd season had begun, but had only three episodes before cancellation), there were only two that I hadn't taped. Yes, back in the days when the "VCR" was still relatively new, I taped the series. You could do that back then, but not invite a houseful of people over and charge admission. However, 25 year-old VHS tapes don't hold a candle to modern DVD's. Actually, it was a total of 5 episodes, because back then, I didn't know that there was a Season 3, with a few episodes. There had been no advertising, and it wasn't shown until months later. Now, I finally got to see them. Although the show has long ended, a new generation might be able to enjoy the series. What's interesting is there are websites all over, with former viewers keeping the show going, mostly the love between Catherine and Vincent, by writing countless short stories. I think this series can teach people how to love the person inside, and not cast them away for their exterior.

Favorite show from the 80's
I like the way it was packaged, liked the subtitles inside the box for all the DVDs and I got to see my favorite show from the 80s. I really wanted to see it because I couldn't finish it when I was in my teens. The show was in the middle of a writer strike I think. Then the star had her baby and she decided to stay with her child. At any rate, it is an okay show and I liked it. I wanted to finish it. Now I can choose the episodes that's my favorite and I can watch it whenever I want to.

Very Good
Love the series. I watch the show just to listen to the soft spoken Hellboy, and to see the lovely mother of the saver of the human race. And the Ferengi, I love the Ferengi. The story is about a woman fell in love with a guy from a different class. There are a lot of loving and killing.Season one is great. Lot of loving. Season two is ok. I kinda like season three even though they change the format in season three. They make season 3 a continuous series. You will need to follow the episodes one after another.Picture quality is great to me. It is not HD but the detail and resolution is good. Color is kinda dull but is ok to me.The packaging is good. The case is soft rubber. I do not have any scratched disc. The discs are sound and safe inside the case. The name of the episodes are printed in the back of the cover. The discs come with previews and interviews with Ron Perlman and Linda Hamilton. Some reviewers said there was no close caption. My copy does have close caption. Please see the pictures.Five stars from me.
