It's zinc, all right
It's zinc, what more can I say?I used this for a simple chemistry demonstration, Zn + 2HCl => H2 + ZnCl2. The wire was easy to work with, and the low surface area kept the reaction going for several minutes. Perfect for my use, which was to burn the H2 as it escaped the test tube. Long reaction life means long flame duration, and easy demonstration.

Exactly as described and great customer service
The 'exactly as described' came after the great customer service. The first shipment was one foot of wire, not ten feet. I phoned the minute I opened the package since my son's science fair was looming in the near future. They shipped a full ten foot coil IMMEDIATELY after I called. We got it right away and made the deadline. A great customer service response to one of those order glitches that sometimes happens. I would shop with Rotometals again with confidence.

Pure Zinc Wire Shipped Fast, First Quality
I make my own colloidal (or Ionic, same thing) silver solution to fight a Typhus infection that I got when assigned to Sinop, Turkey in 1975. The silver did a great job, saved me from certain death. Ionic zinc is also highly touted, so I purchased the above pure (.999) wire and made a solution. The results were perfect, beyond expectation.This vendor delivers what they promise, and fast shipping in a completely taped compact box. I cannot ask for more.
