Sinners Anonymous: A Forbidden Love Dark Mafia Romance

What a great concept I love the idea of Phoning in all your sins. Love that everything works out for her.

It was good but not as good as the made series (will there ever be) it was dragged out and took slow at points but did have a decent plot. The romance side was good and I liked the excitement in the thrills that came with the mafia. The ending was promising for the next book but unfortunately that didn't deliver, it lacked the excitement and the romance was even more drawn out then this one. I think it's worth a read but has area's that news improving if it wants to be anywhere near the 5 star mark.

Ok, so this was a book that I quickly read the description and thought ah sounds alright I'll give it ago, I wasn't expecting much if truth be told, but I love Rory and Angelo's story! Onto the next one!

Angelo is the most dangerous Made Man of all, and strictly off-limits in the eyes of the family. So why is it that Angelo is the one to make Rory's pulse flutter? Who instils her deepest and darkest desires? What should Rory do when what she truly wants is for Angelo Visconti to be her biggest sin of all? I had a fun time reading this book. The tension between Rory and Angelo was delicious from their very first scene together. The anticipation and build up added this dangerous seductive tone to the plot as both Rory and Angelo danced around their mutual attraction without getting caught. I felt for Rory due to the predicament that she was in with the desperation to ensure her ill father received the best possible care, and that the best way to ensure that was by being an 'untouched woman' who offered herself to the most powerful man she could find. Alberto was the absolute worst and a complete sleezebag. I cringed every time he was on the page, and honestly I could never actually figure out what he wanted with Aurora. Was she simply a young and beautiful woman to flaunt to his fellow creepy old friends? Perhaps it is as simple as that, and the ego-boost that came with him wanting to be a woman's 'first', but I also kept hoping for there to be... more? Sometimes men are simply written to be stupid and not particularly bright, but I expected a notorious mafia boss to be more sinister in his end-goal than what was explained? Maybe I'm over-thinking it, but I had hoped for more plot from this pretty present and significant plotline. Rory is a really sweet and nurturing girl, and I liked her a lot. However replacing swear/curse words with birds had its moment early on and just got annoying in the end. Reading the likes of "Oh my goose" during vital and sinister moments just really let down the vibes that were trying to be established. I could have better tolerated it had it been a lot less frequent than it was, and also you're telling me Rory didn't think to find a local library and try to source information on land ownerships before signing a legally binding contract that tied her to an old, abusive man that runs a criminal organisation? It hurt my head to think about how badly most of the conflict would have been resolved had she made an attempt to fact check beforehand. Also speaking of said land... why did it take Angelo so long to fess up? Really? This just annoyed me, sorry. I didn't mind Angelo as a whole. He's exactly what you would expect from a Mafia Dark Romance book with his sinister nature and swoon-worthy appearance to add to his dangerous allure. I found him a be more on the predictable side which isn't a bad thing if that's what you, as a reader, enjoy. I definitely don't mind it at times when I'm looking for an easier read. I just feel more frustrated when acts of conflicts can be better resolved via conversation. That thing people do when they open their mouths and use words? Yeah, that. I wanted to shake Angelo multiple times and just beg him to talk to Rory and get to the bottom of everything. I don't even mean for this to be a negative view. I had fun reading Sinner's Anonymous and whilst it wasn't the best book I've ever read... it also wasn't the worst. I'll definitely get around to continuing this series when I'm on the fence on what I want to read next.

I was so intrigued by this book, and I was not disappointed! As a huge fan of mafia romances, I was sceptical that this book could provide anything new... but boy was I wrong! The suspense and vibes were great! I couldn't put this book down. The tension between the MCs was really well written and I ate that up!

Absolutely loved it, completely pulled me in and before I knew it, two days have passed and I’ve finished the book. Looking at the blurbs of the second and third books (which I just ordered in anticipation to continue reading) - the ending of this one leads quite nicely into the second book with slight reference to the new, red haired female character (guessing it’s Penny). The only thing that slightly upset me would be how I’ve had a few pages that didn’t print very well, some shown in images attached. But overall it was fabulously written and I absolutely enjoyed it.

I needed a dark mafia book to cleanse my reading, and this one was just what I needed. It was a slow start, but it picked up its pace, and ended with a bang. I adored Angelo and Rory, they are both damaged characters who need a little bit of joy in their lives. Rory signed a contract with Alberto an old man who made a promise to her if she married him. Now she’s destined for a life under his control, to protect her father. But when Alberto’s nephew comes to town for an impromptu visit, she can’t help but stare at the cold faced man with his sneer permanently etched on his face. Angelo came to town for a reason. He’s been straight for the last nine years, but he still has that viscous side to him that cries out for air. When he spots the 21 year old fiancé to his uncle, he can’t seem to get her face out of his mind. Now she’s becoming a problem and he wants to find a way to solve it. This story is told in dual POV, it’s a slow romance, and slow starting, and ending. But it delivers if you are looking for something to scratch that dark romance itch.

Really loved this book I couldn't put it down. Great story line kept me hooked good characters. Brilliant writing in depth.

This was the first book I've read by this author, and I am so mad I left this in my TBR for so long. It had me completely hooked with the plot, and writing was phenomenal. I enjoyed the twists, and the slow burn was delicious 🥵 Their chemistry was instant and intense! Angelo was the antihero we all love! He was dark and dangerous, vicious! But we all love a bad guy, especially when they're as hot as him. Loved the connection between him and his brothers and the devotion to his mama. Rory was a good girl who is attracted to bad things 😉 She's sweet but is snarky when she needs to be. She has a backbone but the situation she was in forced her to constantly push down her urge for violence. She had down some petty bad things but her guilt drives her to the need to confess and atone. I love her bird curse words 😆 I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a gripping mafia romance with a sexy dangerous MMC.

i really loved the book. The characters are amazing and you want to read the story of all of them when she describes them. Rory is wonderful and Angelo couldn't be more perfect. but I missed more interaction between the main couple. more romance between them, more pages that make you addicted to the couple, more than you already are. I think it could be a longer book, with more scenes of Angelo and Rory together, developing the plotwist theme while the couple is together. I wanted more time with the main couple. ps: I'm CRAZY to read the Tor story! hope she plans a book for him in the future
