Battery gauge
Ordered this because it was showing all bars when charged. The one I received only shows one bar at a time. I bought the one that was a lit more then the others thinking it was what I wanted, going by the Amazon site. Not the case! Not very satisfied with what I received.

Installation and usage instructions are useless.
I purchased the 36 volt version for an old golf cart. First thing I noticed was the cut sheet for installation and usage verbiage was bass-akwards, i.e. when the red LED is lit it means the battery is at 90% capacity. Should have been written as 10% capacity. Typical of any Asian to English translation.I have worked side-by-side with Chinese engineers who couldn't speak a word of English and our principle means of communication was thru diagrams. So, upon seeing two schematic wiring diagrams I felt more at ease.... until closer inspection revealed mismarked polarity on the battery of each schematic. After throwing the instructions away I relied on experience and markings on the meter to complete the installation.I chose the "switched" option. After installing the meter and running the cart for a while the meter did what it was built for. When the batteries had depleted a significant amount I recharged them. After recharging, the meter was "stuck" in its last position showing the previous state of charge. Only after disconnecting the meter then reconnecting would it reset and show the proper charge level. Upon this discovery I rewired the meter such that the meter gets completely powered OFF with the key switch thus resetting it each time the key is moved to the OFF position. I did NOT measure and verify the battery voltage at each LED position on the display as it is simply not worth the time and effort to do so. Since the meter would not reset and show the freshly charged state I gave the meter low marks for accuracy. It's pretty, but I would not reccomend it nor will I buy another.
