I bpught this after my older Sony DVD started giving me "dirty CD" messages whenever I tried to load any DVD to play.At one time I had a very nice Diskwasher wet CD/DVD cleaner disk but somehow it came up missing during our last move 6 years ago. Hard to believe that I had not cleaned the Sony in over 6 years. While searching thru the Amazon site for cleanimg disks I discovered a plethora of models to choose from. Reading the reviews, most of them had several comments (junk, do not waste your money, etc). Eventually I settled upon this one. It arrived in one day and I used it immediately after taking it out of the package. It takes 5 minutes to run the cleaning process but the result eas well wprth it. All of my DVDs are loading up again and in less time than before. All I can say for now is "it works foe me".

I have two good CD decks, both of which suddenly stopped playing CDs in the past year. Dust and dirt can interfere with playback and tracking, and I figured this disk, if it worked, would be a lot easier than taking the decks apart.My first test was on my Music Hall deck, and it just spit out the disk without trying to play it. Bummer. But the Hitachi loaded the disk and went through the full test sequence, and when it was done, the deck started playing CDs again. Much easier than tearing it apart, and much cheaper than a new deck.Will it bring yours back to life? Maybe. It’s certainly cheaper than a new unit.

I picked up a used, very old DVD player to use as a CD transport for a stereo setup, and figured it would be a good idea to give it a good once-over and clean the internals a bit. This nifty disc is just what I needed to give the laser lens a nice, careful cleaning. You just pop in the disc (pay attention to the arrow) and press play. The disc will play some music, do a right/left channel test, and give spoken instructions and updates on the cleaning process.I can't say whether or not my music sounds better, but it gives me peace of mind to know the inside of my old player isn't going to cause a problem or mess up my discs. This disc is a nice addition to any physical media set up, especially when your hardware starts to get on the old side. Five stars!

I have an older Hi-Fi CD player from the early 90's that I love but I was having to reinsert the CD several times before the laser could read it. I wasn't sure what I could do so I just lived with it. Then this CD cleaning disc came along and I decided to give it a try.Well it works great, at least it did for me. I don't have trouble reading my discs anymore and it just took a few seconds running this disc in my player. It also works for DVD players that use a similar laser device to read digital discs.There is no liquid needed for the brush, in fact you should not use anything on the brushes at all or it could damage your unit. You just put it in with the black side up and it does it's thing. Very simple. It might not work in every situation but for around 10 dollars, it's worth a try if you are getting error messages or random skipping when listening to music or playing DVDs.

This cut out the skipping on my car stereo! I had tried others but this is the only one that got whatever was in there fixed!5 stars!
