I bought this 2qt stainless steel flat sided bucket to keep in my dog’s crate. It holds the right amount of water and is deep enough not to splash out easily. It is wide enough for my poodle to get the water, but narrow enough to keep her ears out and dry. When I leave her in the crate for over two hours, I clip the bucket handle to the crate as well as using the hooks because she does like to play with it😊. I like the bucket so well for her that I have eliminated her bowl on the floor, and just keep the crate door open when we’re home. Floor and ears stay drier 👍🏼.

Perfect! Use them in both a wire crate and impact crate. The 2 qt is perfect for food and water. Use a carabiner for extra security since the dogs like to knock them off the door. Washes easily in the dishwasher and super durable.

I use these buckets in both my dogs’ car crates (Ruffland Kennels) and their indoor crates (standard wire). I use a carabiner clip on the handle of one to keep my wild child from knocking it over. The hooks fit pretty well on the RTK doors.

AUGUST 2018 - So ... It seems to be working fine. it is a good size for our year and a half old boxer mix pup. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I'm not sure how long it will take her to nose it up and dump the whole thing all over her crate. I'm just not sure how to secure it to prevent that from happening, but not take away the ease of lifting it off to clean / fill (which I actually really really like!). And then ... she's smart, maybe she will be smart enough to not dump her water. I'll update after it's been in use for a while, if she leaves it alone, I'll pop it up to 5 stars.Update: so we've been using this for a while and our spoiled rotten boxer mix has nudged it off the crate twice. Both times set off our glass break sensor of the alarm system. However, both times it was in protest of it being empty, and only once was it when we weren't home. She actually seems to prefer this one over the regular bowl / jug waterer. Going to order a second one for food in her bowl for the occasional long days in the crate.Second update (April 24, 2019) -I finally got around to ordering another bowl because summer is coming and there might be a few longer days. Today was anticipated to be one of those so I took the second bowl I ordered (arrived yesterday) and put 2 cups of kibble in there for our fur baby. Yep. Nope. She doesn't dump her water, but she won't let the food there. The mess was insane - kibble EVERYWHERE. Will need to look into securing this better if we are going to make another attempt. I am not docking stars, because this isn't the items fault (really), she lets the water bucket be. But I am sharing as a tale of caution for anyone else with a stubborn as all get out pooch. I will say that the original one is still in pristine condition. I run it through the dishwasher at least once a week for good measure, but it has never seemed icky and it still looks brand new!

I love these. We have 4 dogs in total. A mastiff mix, a great dane/blue heeler mix, and 2 standard poodles. We got the 2 quart for everyone's water. A 2 quart for one food bowl, and 2 1 quarts for food as well with the 4th food bowl needing to be a slow feeder bowl. I will say I got double sided clips to make sure they stay attached to the sides of the kennels as just the hooks? Can easily be knocked down from the sides of the kennels I just attach one side to the kennel wires and one end to the bucket handle and we're good to go. All in all? I love them and will always use theses. They're easy to clean and easy to use.

These have held up well for over 1.5 years. Easy to clean, look brand new with each washing. Dogs are fed in kennel and these attach to several different kennel types. Highly recommend.

This product is exactly as described and has worked great for me since I've had it. I have an aussie and it holds enough water for her for about two 8-hour lengths of time.

Tiny. Misleading on size. Not worth the money buy this item at local pet food store and handle the item and support a local business. I buy a great deal on Amazon and internet but this was not a good buy !

The hooks on my pail were not bent in far so you cannot hang the bucket in a crate by them, it just falls off.Had to use a carabiner which defeats the purpose of the hooks.Tried to bend the hooks in more, but the steel is too hard to bend.

Great product. I use them with my puppy and when we travel. A pet owners must have!
