Nice looking . Good price . Very useful size and shape .
I will most likely come back and comment more but for now I just wanted to say : The actual blade length is less than the advertised 3.6 inches ; it is 3-15/16 inches (87.5 mm) . So if your state has a 3.5 inch limit (as mine does) you're good . This knife is worth the money and I like it a lot . The area around the frame lock where the lock bar holds the blade open is much better than most . Many of my other frame locks have sharp corners right where I want to put my index finger but on this Buck Cavalier the actual lock up area is well forward of where my finger grips the knife . Well done Buck ! Lastly , I am happy but, the blade is not as thin as it looks in the photo here on the amazon product description / photos . The actual blade thickness (measured with a Dial Caliper ) near the handle is 2.9mm, and 2.78mm at the top of the plunge grind and 2.65mm out half way to the tip. This is still pretty dang good though . I am very much into thin bladed knives ; thin cuts . PS : Flips open much easier using thumb rather than with index finger .

Nice to look at
Mixed thoughts on this Buck knife. I like the open assist and form factor a lot, I question the quality. Mine is bent with a broken tip from minimal use. If you use your knives, you may want to consider something else.

Possible fake
Got this for my dad for fathers day and have to say it's quite nice and slim I like the carbon fiber strip in the handle but as my dad compared another buck knife he has there aren't any "made in usa" markings on it and the buck logo on the blade appears to be printed on it instead of engraved like the other knife so could be fake but overall it's a nice knife for the price

Quality knife
Why did you pick this product vs others?: A Buck knife has a very good reputation and my knife is GREAT! Opens and closing easily and very sharp. This will be a great asset to my knife collection. I started when I was about 7 years old, carrying a small pocketknife and they come in handy during the day and night.

A gentleman's accesory.
The blade joint is firm and stable. The one handed operation is smooth and fluid. I like how the open bolster keeps the pocket lint and junk out of the bolsters. It's attractive look makes people think of it as a gentleman's accesory and tool, not a 'weapon'. Altogether very pleased.
