Ideaworks JB7816 Powered S/3 Solar Deck Lights, Small, Brown

One of the lights did not work out of the box. The other two are very dim and only last a few hours. I wanted something brighter and was disappointed. Ended up buying another set from another company that works much better. Gave it two stars.Update - I accidentally purchased this again, and the new ones worked great! Must have gotten a bad set. I now have three sets and all work fine. The light is bright and they have lasted longer than the other type of set I bought. Definitely will purchase again.

They are not the brightest but enough to be able to see where you are going. I like the lighting effect where it looks professional. They do last all night--impressive. There may be brighter and fancier ones out there but I am happy with these lights due to quality function but it's simplicity.

Units hold a charge well, at least so far. They matched my brown deck rails nicely, and were easy to install. Two issues: as other have reported, some units are dead on arrival. I ordered three 3-packs, and one unit was dead -- the battery was no good. Fortunately, since I have other solar lights that use similar Ni-MH 1.2v rechargeable batteries, I was able to replace the corroded dead battery with a new higher mAH capacity one.. The manual says the batteries are not replaceable, but I had no trouble opening up the malfunctioning unit and swapping the battery. Second, the light is not bright, so that is a plus or a minus depending on what you purpose is. We use them as accent lights for effect, not main illumination, ,and the soft warm light is just what we wanted.

They work OK, although some stay on for a much shorter time than others. In this order, I got only 7 working lights out of 9 - don't know if the rechargeable batteries are bad in the 2 defective ones, or if it's the solar charging cells or charging circuits that are bad. They just don't take any charge at all. On receipt, I pulled the battery tabs from all 9 and tested them by putting my hand over the light sensor. All 9 worked, but after sitting in sunlight all afternoon to charge, 2 did not come on that night, or the next day when I checked them again in the afternoon. I left them out in the sun for a second full day, and the 2 bad ones never did come on again.I submitted a request for replacements, but never received a reply from either Amazon or the seller.

I first ordered one box and liked them so much that I ordered two more boxes. They look great! Give a soft glow to my deck at night. Only one of the lights did not work so I’m just using 11 of them. Definitely would recommend them.

These lights are cute but terrible quality. We purchased several sets and paid a handyman to install them on our deck.They looked awesome. After 3 months, every single light is dead. If we remove them, we will have a zillion holes in the deck, and I don't see the point of buying more since every single light has failed. Of course, they lasted 30 days! So there's no option for getting a refund. Cute at first. Dead really fast. Keep looking.

These work fabulous. I purchased 3 boxes initially and 1 of the lights didn't work, but it ended up that it was an extra one (only needed) so it wasn't a big deal. Too much of a pain to deal with the return. They give off a nice soft white light and are perfect for the deck. I just purchased another two sets to use on my front porch. They are the perfect size, too.

I got them in April, it is August now and two of them stopped working. I got them to illuminate the steps on my deck, they gave out a nice warm light. Didn't last a whole season. May try a wired set so they last longer
