Very informative
The worst pain ..loosing a child. This book brings comfort to people that have experienced that pain. Also, a good resource for people to use that want to comfort those with that pain.

Sobering, Deep, Reflective, Helpful, and Hopeful
We suddenly lost our only son in January of this year and I have devoured anything and everything related to child loss. Much has been helpful; some has not been. Tristan and Jill Borland's book was immensely encouraging to me. It was raw, real, and deeply reflective. They do not shy away from the difficulty and pain of losing their beautiful daughter.

A beautiful lament
How does life go on in the wake of such a tragic loss? The Borland family has endured every parent's worst nightmare; the loss of their three-year-old child...and only days before their fifth daughter was to be born. This book follows their journey through the dark valley in the days/months following her death. While it, indeed, contains much sorrow and lament, there is Hope to be found in these pages. I know it was written for such a time as this.

Beautifully written
A heartbreaking recant of the grieving process. So much sorrow but also so much hope.

Life does have to go on.
Heartbreaking and uplifting at the same time. Read it in one evening.

"Feel-Good Book of the Year"
Well, maybe not... But Good. Short and concise, yet at the same time nuanced and deep. There is something about seeing people do hard things well that is encouraging. This is the case with this book. Much of it is sobering and sad, but you may also find yourself smirking while crying. It is an honor to be entrusted with an unvarnished glimpse into Tristan and Jill's struggle.

Highly recommended
This book really gives insight to what a grieving family endures. I highly recommend this read not only if you lose a child, but really if you know someone going through tremendous loss. I think it could help those on the outside understand how a grieving family needs to be loved through a time of crisis. Excellent book on the toughest of subjects.
