Q: I can't tell from reading if the inner roll can be removed from the box and mounted into a plastic wrap dispenser, which is what I have.

Well the roll can be removed from the box yes; however, the rool is quite a bit larger than the types of rolls you would get at the grocery store. You might want to verify that it fits your dispenser first, the roll is slightly smaller than the box itself

Q: is there a slide cutter?

The box does not have a slide cutter. However, it would be a wonderful additional feature if it did contain one. The current system for cutting the plastic is a piece of cardboard with a serrated metal edge which, when inserted correctly, sticks up a slight bit. You pull down on the plastic wrap and the edge cuts it. The metal edge does a decent job, but not much more than that. The plastic wrap is sometimes unevenly cut and you at times have to tear it to remove it from the roll. However, this plastic wrap is so much better than what you can purchase in the grocery store the "trouble" with the cutter is worth it. Especially since the same type of serrated edge is also what you get on store-purchased boxes of wrap.
