This review is for the Edwin Jagger DE89 lined razor which is slightly longer than the de87. It has vertical lines on the handle for more grip. Edwin Jagger DE89 vs DE87BLAM- I cannot pick a favorite- It’s a tie.The DE89 has the same shave quality as theEdwin Jagger DE87BLAM( Ivory rubber handle, shorter handle) which I also own. I use USA Persona blades on both razors.The DE89 is more aggressive than a merkur 34c ( i love those too) My advice buy an Edwin Jagger DE89 for home. Buy the Edwin Jagger DE87BLAM ( short handle) for travel. I bought a shave brush:simpson trafalgar T2 (synthetic, medium size for travel) to go with my Edwin Jagger razors.

Um excelente barbeador. Muito bonito, macio ao toque, cromado, o cabo é pequeno, porém com uma pegada muito boa. Bem robusto. Uma curiosidade a cabeça deste aparelho serve no Merkur e no Gillette King. Relamente um excelente barbeador.

OK, first off, I'm rather pleased with how well the Edwin Jagger DES89BL worked. I have been using a Baili for the last few years and it has not always been an easy shave, not to mention that the razor has been corroding, becoming increasingly difficult to change blades. I used Jagger for the first time on my three-day old beard. Now I'm not sure if the ease of the razor that I used was due to the razor or the razor blade that I used which was a Derby as opposed to the Astra which I normally use for the Baili however I must admit it was a pleasant experience. The razor was buttery smooth, a pleasure to use and believe it or not, for a new razor to not nick me, I'm amazed. So, I just wanted to say I'm rather pleased and I can only hope this continues. We'll see. The razor is more of an entry level, with the shave being mild, however, if you're in a hurry it is the perfect razor because if you are in a hurry you do not have to worry about getting a nick. The razor looks good, is well made, with the construction being very solid.

Me gustó bastante porque tiene muy buena agarre, el peso es adecuado y además da una rasurada muy buena porque no irrita. Y además es muy fácil de maniobrar. La calidad en general es muy buena, se siente que es un producto que va a durar varios años, incluso décadas, posiblemente se lo heredaré a mis nietos. Honestamente no lo estoy usando para el pelo facial ya que no tengo pero sí tengo bastante pelo en las partes nobles, un abultamiento enorme. Casi parece que tengo un afro en esa parte, pero gracias este rastrillo he logrado deshacerme de toda esa cantidad inconmensurable de pelo afro.

Picked this razor up years ago when I was first getting into the wet shaving scene. For years I had struggled with thick and dense beard hair that was impossible to debulk no matter what I did. Cartridge razors would leave me with hundreds of little red ingrown bumps and I felt like I would never be able to achieve a clean-shaven look without the eventual happening. That has no longer been the case.The Edwin Jagger De86 has been a huge help with getting a good shave in - it has a beginner-friendly design where the blade exposure is less aggressive in comparison to other safety razors. The razor also looks pretty sleek sitting on my bathroom countertop but looks aren't everything, luckily this razor has much more than that. This thing clears my face in a few passes and is hard to clog up with hair (no more making my face raw with multiple up-and-down cartridge razor passes). Cuts are few and far between and are usually because I am rushing, but if you take your time and do it right you will achieve an amazing shave every time.For beginners, I would recommend that you use Astra superior platinum blades with this razor. I have sensitive cut-prone skin and have found that the Astras provide a very clean and comfortable shave compared to a few other brands I've tried in the past. Take it slow with finding the right angle using your razor and you'll have it down in no time.
