Easy to put on
I was looking for a spray, but this was on sale so tried this instead. Its actually pretty easy to brush on, and couldnt see any brush marks after drying. Good stuff.

Works as advertised
Works just as described. Recommend a few coats.

Very useful, very stinky
This lacquer worked perfectly! But make sure to use it in a well ventilated area, and it takes a while to dry. I did not use it in the most ventilated area and the smell gave me quite a headache. ๐

Hard to apply well, and scratches very easily even after 4 coats!
I wanted to use lacquer when refinishing vintage mid century furniture, because I read that's what was used back then. For resale, I thought that mattered. But this stuff is hard to apply well. It sets up and dries too fast. Once you brush it on, almost immediately there is no re brushing without messing it up. This happened when I found a drip from the brush I missed. So you have to apply it perfectly or let it dry, sand it and wait til the next coat and that's iffy too. So I painstakingly finished 4 coats and was pretty happy with the end result. I waited the proper amount of time to use the piece (a table), but to my great frustration and sadness, the surface scratches really easily, even from a laptop and the scratches SHOW. I thought lacquer was a lot more durable. I just should have used the cheaper, easier polyurethane I can easily get anywhere. Apparently that is more durable.

Poor Product
Very difficult to apply evenly. I had to do it over several times.
