Not as good as other cardboard organizers
I am a music teacher and have to sort and store a lot of books and papers, so I have various kinds of literature organizers in my studio. I purchased these to sort my Christmas music, and I have to say I am quite disappointed in the quality of this item. First, it is not red, as is shown in pictures. I feel confident stating this, as I ordered four of these, and none of them are actually read. They are more like orange, and they are faded and shabby looking. Second, unlike other cardboard literature organizer is I have, there is no plastic protector on the front of the shelving, meaning first of all that they are going to get worn very quickly, and second, there is no way to label these shelves so you can see what is in them from the front. Labels would have to go horizontally, and you would have to be looking down at the box to see the labels. Third, this did not stay together on its own. I had to use packing tape to hold The back together, which is not acceptable. Fourth, this does not form a square. I am on able to stack them, because the middle is higher than the edges. All in all, very disappointing, and not worth the money. I am returning and will buy something else.

Overpriced cardboard faded color! Dont buy!
This was not bright red like photo it was very faded....oh and not to mention made of flimsy cheap cardboard!! The price for this item is ridiculous for what crap it is! So upsetting and disappointed! Oh there were no instructions either but I didn't need them as I saw what cheap junk it was and immediately boxed it back up for return! Don't buy this it's huge rip off! I still can't can't get over how much this was for what it truly is!!!

Still strong one year later
I'm a freelance Graphic Designer who works out of a home office. I bought two of these shelf systems a year ago to organize my paper collection. LOVE THEM. They arrived flat, were simple to put together, and are still very sturdy even after a year of use. I keep them right on my desk. One has 8 reams of cardstock and the other has 6 reams of paper. The other slots are filled with packages of Avery labels, sample paper packs, transparencies, half packs, etc. Paper-sized stuff, you get it.My only criticism is the price. This is cardboard! You assemble it yourself. Nothing about this should cost more than ten dollars. I bought a 6-shelf unit at a local store during back-to-school season that cost only six dollars! So it's overpriced, yes, but worth it to solve my organization problem.

Dont expect to be using this for anything but paper unless you plan to throw it away in about a year or two at best
This thing is made of horrible extra papery cardboard its about a few years old but, barely ever gets touched isnt full, never has been, and doesnt get touched ever. Its sagging from the actual unmade package's (since i purchased two) weight on top, and its got dips on every other shelf from the shelves with a single paperback video game guidebook to the shelves i left hardbound architecture books on. I would have thrown this out if i wasnt looking for an even older smaller organizer made of cheap wood i purchased a couple years before these. It has a giant beer promotional thing from a 711 on it that blows fake snow around a giant beer bottle.... and it has books packing it to the brim and its showing no wear and tear.... if only i could find it on here because it wasnt like it cost anymore its just a bit smaller.(sorta copy pasted this review that i originally made to answer a question someone asked about the project incase the review seems to trail off topic a bit)

Expensive cardboard but works great!
I ended up sucking it up & buying this for the price because I needed the specific red color for a "red writing center" in my classroom. ;p Anyway, it's basically cut & colored cardboard. Sturdy enough for my purposes & VERY easy to assemble. I just wouldn't put a ream of paper or too much weight on the shelves as the cardboard folds & slides into slots, which means there is minimum support....

Poor Packaging. Tape stuck to inserts
I hope this holds up to 1st grade class since it is only cardboard. Time will tell.Regarding my 2 star rating, I ordered 2 of these, both came with the tape from the packaging stuck to the center insert. When you open the box, it tears the red off the cardboard. The good news, it is on the inside center divider, and it is not worth sending back at this point. I will not order one of these again and will spend next summer building my own from wood or shopping around for used office equipment.

Beautiful Color, Very Sturdy
I love this. Beautiful color. Very strong. It's able to have stuff sit on top without caving in at all. Read the description. This is not wood or plastic. It's corrugated cardboard and comes in pieces for you to assemble. Pretty fast to put-together. It will definitely last and it's a much better price than buying one made of wood.

This is nothing more than a flimsy cardboard structure.
I purchased this to store and organize sandpaper at a body shop, it kept coming up in related searches for such a product. This is likely the very first Amazon purchased product I will ever return, it’s just flimsy cardboard which has been compromised in the shipping process. This does not uphold the quality that Amazon has maintained behind the products they distribute.

Awful
Came without instructions and with the middle piece missing. Awful quality, you can’t even fold the cardboard where you’re clearly meant to without it buckling and cracking. Don’t buy this piece of absolute rubbish.
