Itty bitty square committee.It’s hip to be square. Even if it’s tiny. Really tiny- however, if you want a very tiny little square and will pay $50 bucks for one, this is a good one to buy. It’s tiny. Good for picture frames. Doll houses. Saw blades. People with tiny hands.It’s fun to play with. Feels good to hold. base is accurately .5” x 1” wide.Edges are crisp and sharp. Paint is nice. Well made. I don’t like the locking knurl. Hard to turn.My middle finger is 3-19/64th long.

This little tool is solid and accurate. It has great "hand feel". The block slides along the rule pretty well out of the box, but I took everything apart and cleaned the groove in the rule out with alight polishing using 0000 steel wool. You have to keep the steel block lightly oiled to prevent rust. I use this one and its 6" brother very often in nearly every woodworking project, and to square my various saw blades (table saw, jigsaw, miter saw). Being a "4R", there are no pesky metric rules that always seem to fall along the edge of a measurement or layout. No regrets here - I'd most definitely buy again.

I lost my last PEC 4 inch square and I just really missed it. This is a perfect square for throwing in an apron pocket to quickly reference squareness on saw and jointer cuts and for checking machine set up squareness . Fit and finish are excellent and it is dead square. Nicely made PEC

This little square is as dead on accurate as i can tell. Ive compared it to my starret combination square and some 3-2-1 blocks and cant see any gaps. The locking mechanism slips in some positions even when fully tightened so I took a star off for that.

It's square, and it's easy to read. You do have to give it a bit of a stout twist to lock, but it seems to be breaking in. I'd give it a 5 if it didn't require such a twist to lock down.

Needed a small square and this fit the bill. Mine is very smooth to operate. Locking nut is hard to release if you turn it very tight. 4R engravings very clear and easy to read.

This PEC 4" Square is AWESOME! The thing is SUPER accurate, much more accurate than some of my precision squares used for setting up table saws and such. This must be .00002 or better in terms of accuracy. Slide is super nice and screw is very easy to use and lock in place! Use this thing all the time, more than my 12" square!

I am a union woodworker for 20 years and i can say this is well made and worth the money. It is exactly what i wanted and was expecting. These are great little squares that easily fit in your pouch.
