After buying a multi use tripod that I can use with my spotter and shoot off I realized those two things don’t go together on the back country. This puppy shaved 4# off my back and that makes a world of difference. Good quality for a great price. Can’t beat and recommend for sure

Day one review:I've had bad luck with travel tripods in the past and resorted to using my Manfrotto 190XProB as my daily (main being an Innorel RT-90C which I can't recommend enough). Enter the AM-254, which weighs practically nothing and literally fits *inside* my Besnfoto PRVKE clone! Sure, this doesn't provide RT90C levels of absolute stability (e.g. it wobbles when you adjust physical controls on your camera with the ST200 center column extended, less so with it retracted, and likely very little without it), but it's significantly more stable than the 190XProB. Clip and spikes are a large bonus for real estate photography. 10/10 would recommend at this point in time (esp. when on sale).

Anche se il modello è ormai superato è ottimo. Robustezza come da qualità Sirui. Ottimo carbonio. Soffre molto nella parte centrale della clip per il contrappeso per due motivi, il primo non fa chiudere adeguatamente e tende ad essere compresso la seconda tende a svitarsi. Consiglio di toglierlo e agganciare il moschettoncino allo zaino o altro, libera spazio e non lo perdete. Ho scelto questo modello per il kit prolunga ma non l'ho mai utilizzata (perdita di tempo e troppo ingombro esterno). Apertura veloce, sgancio delle regolazioni angoli ottime una delle migliori fin ora utilizzate (anche rispetto agli ultimi modelli e altri brand). Utilizzatelo con una testa da 30/40 vale avere un accessorio importante sopra una volta piazzato si dovrebbe fare tutto da sopra. Bella la custodia e il kit "punzoni in acciaio" per terreni difficili. Non cinque stelle per il gancio contrappeso, cosa che hanno risolto in altri nuovi modelli di cui. Non sottovalutare la possibilità di avere un aggancio libero laterale per un eventuale accessorio per aggancio di puntatori, Action Cam, telefoni, ecc ecc.

This kit was not much more expensive than my next-best tripod, which was Alu. Given the price point and its additional stability and compact nature and relative weight, it's a no-brainer.The only drawback for potential buyers may be the fact that it comes without a mount head, one would have to use your own or buy one separately.Otherwise it's highly versatile and ready for many different use cases, highly recommended!

I ditched a Manfrotto BeFree tripod for this one. (Hated that thing.) This costs half as much, weighs half as much, is every bit as sturdy and the legs don't jam the way the Manfrotto did. Field tested and approved by yours truly. Any future pods in my life will be Sirui.
