This is my first and only set of stones for sharpening my kitchen knives. They work great, I have no complaints with them at all. I’m sure better stones exist but I feel like for the price it’s great to learn on!

Exactly as described. I've used it twice now to sharpen my kitchen knives. So far, so good. Quality is good.

Three stars mainly for quality. It's corundum so obviously nowhere near as hard as diamond stones. It developed small scratches/gouges in the surface quickly. The training guide is also quite useless as its too wide for small knives and not long enough for larger knives. And it scratches up the whetstone. My whetstone also didn't fit inside the rubber foot AND the bamboo tray at the same time so I only could use the rubber foot. However it did sharpen my knives fairly well and is a good way to practice training your muscle memory in regards to keeping a consistent angle and path on a whetstone without spending a lot of money.

This product's price was on the lower end of whetstones, so I was a little nervous about not getting great quality (a risk I knew I was taking) but honestly it's so nice. Its easy to use, quick at sharpening your knives, and seems like the same quality product you would get for the other, more expensive listings on here. I love the bamboo base, and it's non-skid on the bottom too, which is a huge bonus.

The two sides are great for knife sharpening. A high quality instruction video that could easily be accessed would be very beneficial. Not sure how to use or how effective the angle clip is.

Had a oil whetstone before , that was great , no pre soaking and much less messy than this water whetstone which literally wears away as you use it Perfectly fine for home use , nicely packaged with bamboo base and the angle guide is useful to show you the tilt on the blade you need . I don't use it just go by feel , practice gets you that feel

Cost effective whetstone comparable to Japanese made ones at 1/3 the price.

The sharpener works as expected, however the 1000 side bleeds a lot of green dye which seems excessive and messy. As a baseline comparison to established brands like wusthof, I've never seen this leakage happen before.
