This meter was erratic and inaccurate. Monitoring a 1k test tone at 80db, the meter was fluctuating by about 10db. A professional meter I borrowed and had side by side with this one, was only fluctuating about 1db. Across the different settings, this meter often read 10db different than the professional meter I was comparing it with.

they are useless to us in this condition
Have to echo another reviewer. We bought three of these in February 2017 and our acoustics folks complained that for ALL three, the reading on steady state tone or pink noise varied randomly+/- 10dB or more and NEVER settled, even on A-weighted SLOW, and compared to a $6000 Norsonics and a $50 Radio Shack meter that held a reading within +/- 1 dB. Basically, they are useless to us in this condition. Doesn't seem to be a firmware update available to fix this.
