Crayola Galaxy Paint Stick Pumpkin Decorating Kit

I ordered this product on a whim when they were on sale for less than $2. I didn't even read the description before buying. Upon opening, I was immediately in love. This product isn't a traditional "pumpkin painting" kit, it comes with paint sticks that are only messy if the paint is directly touched. The instructions were extremely detailed, and when I told my 2 year old daughter to "scribble circles" she did as she was told and it immediately started coming together. I let her do purple, blue and white. Then when she had done enough scribbles, I went through and blended and filled in all the empty spots with black. At the end, I would say it looked like a decent galaxy pumpkin especially for primarily being done by a toddler. The directions say you can put the stickers on while it's still wet, however that became too messy. So we opted to wait until it dried a bit. The mess was only on our hands and was easily cleaned up with soap and water. I thought this product was great and am planning on seeing if Crayola has other kits that aren't "galaxy" for next year!

We have a two-year-old who wants to be involved with everything, and pumpkin carving is no different. This comes with four paint sticks, which are very similar to oil, pastels, and lots of stickers. It does get a little messy because the paint sticks do not dry immediately, so be prepared for that, but overall we had a blast and would definitely purchase these again.

My grandsons are 2 and 8, and both had a blast painting their pumpkins. It was much less mess than expected, but took quite awhile to dry. The stickers didn't adhere so well to the paint.

Love how easy & fun it was to color with my 3 year old granddaughter. But after 2 weeks it’s still too sticky to apply the provided stickers.
