Not bad but not the typical flavor of Chinese BBQ Spareribs.
I was looking to try and capture that genuine Chinese American flavor of Char Siu pork tenderloin. I use NOH Char Siu marinade for a few days on the pork tenderloin in the fridge. That give it that nice pink color and base taste. I used the Ah So Sauce Sparerib sauce during the medium slow cook on the BBQ Grill. It goes on perfectly and sticks to the meat with precision making a nice cooked sauce. The taste is just ok though. It has the elements of a perfect Char Siu sauce but lacks the tang and the sweetness we are used to from our local Chinese Restaurants. Your Mileage May Vary but I will enjoy this sauce while it lasts as it is not bad.. It's just not fantastic as I was expecting.
