Great for calf raises and dips.
I love this belt. Please note this is really for dips calf raises etc. this is not a powerlifting belt although you can use for back support. The stitching is very good quality as are the buckles and clips. Velcro strap is super thick and almost just wraps around you when you put it on and is very comfortable and stable. I think chain length is always a personal preference but it’s super easy to modify yourself. Overall I really like this product and I think for the money it is excellent.

Much easier to work with than the chain type.
For me, this is much better than the chain type I tried. 1. The belt has velcro outer belt that actually allows you to put it on like a regular belt and secure it tightly. 2. The chain type I had just relied on the looped chain to be the belt tightener, which was very clumsy. 3. Dealing with the belt and the weight you are attaching was very annoying as weights want to drop and so do the chain links. Kind of like threading a needle with a wet noodle. Older guys would know that feeling very well. 4. The belt is very easy to work with and thread through the weight and since the belt is secured to your waist, you don't have to hold up the belt, thread the chain through the weight and then back through belt all at the same time. So I really liked this one much better. I only use 15lb weight, so take that into consideration.

You need this!
This is a super comfortable belt. I enjoy using it each and every time, it’s fantastic and I love it. It’s very well made and the length of the weight strap is perfect. I think it’s got great value and it’s definitely durable.

Better than a chain.
For the price paid, it's better than a "chain dip belt." I appreciated the waist velcro strap to prevent slippage, but velcro is a weak link in the amount of force required for back support. The straps were well constructed however the quality of the carabiners were noticeably cheap. I could've/would've made this item work if it didn't mandate the straps and weight to be located on the inner thigh and inguinal area during belt squats. This belt would be fine if only used for dips/pullups. Not so much for squats.

Really good belt, would recommend!
I really like this belt. I use it for weighted dips, pull ups, and belt squats on my functional trainer. I've used around 250lbs for belt squats and it seems solid so far. The material doesn't seem the fanciest, but it is comfortable once I put it on.

Dog walking, not weightlifting.
Updated for longevity and troubleshooting information: Three years of daily use, and there are still no issues, the belt is still in great shape, the Velcro still holds, the dip strap is still solid. ----- Again, I'm using this belt to walk two 108lb Borzoi dogs, sometimes accompanied by my 70lb greyhound dog-in-law. Can report more than a year later that the unit is still solid, no issues, Velcro still good, no fraying, the dip strap is still in great condition despite repeated efforts by my furry idiots to drag me across the street to go meet another dog. The only issue I've encountered is the "male" part of the Velcro is aggressive (as it darn well should be for this application) and can snag stuff, including, unfortunately, the inside of a coat or vest worn over it. The hack to fix that is to pick up a few feet of 3 or 4" wide Velcro, determine exactly where the end of the belt is when it's all installed on your body the way you like it, and use the "female " side of the Velcro you bought to render inert the belts' male Velcro. I ordered some 2" for this, not quite wide enough, had to use two strips. Pics of that and the fully assembled dog-walking rig added to review. Only required aftermarket add on is the welded steel ring to clip the leashes on to, any decent hardware store has for a couple bucks. ----- Most of the reviews are from guys who do dips and whatnot. Too old for that. But I wanted a belt that I could clip my 100-lb dogs' leashes to, and take a walk without destroying my rotator cuffs. I have bungee leashes with hand holds that came with skinny little belts. The leashes are great, but the belts nearly cut me in half when the dogs pull. This is a Large padded belt, able to be attached fully to my body and adjusted for fit, the dip strap gets a welded steel ring over it to give me something to clip the leashes to. The dip strap gets clipped on right d-ring, threaded through left d-ring, and other end again clipped to right side. That gives me great control, a sliding mount point for the leashes so the dogs can go to either side without torquing my body. Sturdy and Durable. Wide and padded. Great weight distribution when they pull. If your dogs are even dumber than mine and pull uncontrollably, the configuration I have will snug up because of how the dip strap is configured, but you could always tie knots in the ends to shorten it and just go straight left to right.

Great use for a handless dog leash!
I use this as a handless leash for my 4 dogs, (2 GSD, 2 Huskies). It works wonderfully. I did, though, get locking carabiners for more security to make sure the leashes can't accidentally slip out. But that was a person choice and Im sure the ones that came with it would work just fine. I like the fact that it is larger in size to fit around my waist. The velcro is super strong and never gives out as the dogs pull. It is also very easy to adjust the fitting, even while walking the dogs. One of my favorite features is the back support. The back support while walking the dogs is great! It doesn't pull my back in if the dogs do pull on the leashes. I truly believe its worth every penny!

Fabulous.
I use this with 2x40kg plates and gave no issues. Belt is secure and very comfortable and it doesn’t have the stupid chain like other belts (it’s a strap). Velcro seems like it will last a long time.
