CESS-031L Fork Spade Plugs modified to work with Banana Connectors
I have a pair of Pioneer HPM-100 speakers (1979) that uses pin connectors. I can't modify these connectors to female banana connectors as the crossover network is mounted to the pin connector base. My solution was to replace the CESS fork spade connectors with large (yellow) pin connectors. This allowed me to use my (banana connectors) directly on my retro speakers. It worked perfectly as it looks like the 12ga wire used is silver or silver plated. My music streamer likes the connections as I'm getting better details and bass over the homemade pin connectors I was using previously. No danger of my speakers shorting out by contact with each other as the total CESS wiring is insulated from positive/negative shorting speaker connections.

Hooking up some old gear
The spade forks were a little big since Iām using them to connect to older equipment, but were easy enough to crimp down, and actually got a really good connection. They work great, and the sound is clear and unhampered. Pushing 110Watts of 1970ās power to a pair of Bose 901ās, these spade forks were just the right tool.

Works as advertised
Works exactly as advertised. I use it to convert the banana plug speaker cable endings to spade, since the new speakers I bought require the latter. The cables were custom made and I didn't want to cut them up. The item works as advertised and I'd buy it again if needed.

Great quality but a few design flaws
as others have said, the quality on these are great, but there is a bit of a flaw with the female banana plug. The plastic screw is too large and doesn't allow the plug to seat all the way in. You can remove parts of the connector to make it better, but It feels like a banana plug should seat all the way in with good connection. Even after removing the plastic screw completely, the banana plugs I have only go in a little over half way. I'd have to use some tape to feel comfortable that they wouldn't come out. These are so close to being perfect if the brass inside the plastic screw was just a bit longer. This same company has a plug that doesn't have the screw on it. I'm going to try to exchange for those and hope that the banana plugs will fully seat into those.
