Yes the zipper works. I get a lot of stares and giggles at the airport but it’s effective when wearing a mask for long periods of time. I can sip from straws and apply chapstick quickly. I do not mis place my mask in pockets or set it down on dirty surfaces. Suggest purchasing a lanyard for even more convenience. The mask hides piercing in public. Provides the capability to sip from straws and take medication quickly with out removing the mask. Bonus they wash and dry well in normal laundry cycles. I have had them for 2 months and wash weekly, so far no damage.
