Barbara Hulanicki's Fashion Illustration Workbook Paperback – February 15, 2017

I loved the book, it has some pages you can try and color on your own or make copies, and the esthetics of the drawings is fantastic and so unique to the author.

I was rather disappointed with this book. I was expecting a how-to draw like Barbara Hulanicki guide book, and this is more like an adult colouring book with the same images printed in black or grey repeated on the same page. I am a fashion illustrator and love Barbara’s work, Biba, etc. and thought it would be fun to learn how she draws her ladies, so this was, lovely though the few images printed are, absolutely not what I was looking for. I think the description “workbook” is rather misleading, it’s a colouring book, and the way the book is laid out it is more for a much younger reader, like a child.

I,m disappointed with this book. I was expecting a step by step instructive guide to fashion illustration but you just get pictures to colour. It,s fine as a colour but nowhere in the same league as A to Biba or the book on Big Biba

Pages are almost too pretty to use . Would love to dive in and colour & design ontop of those wonderful illustrations . Lovely addition to my hulanicki collection a must for all fans of both Barbara & Biba .
