Update: quick replacement, working well -Sadly broken on the first time my son played with it.
This is a follow up on the 4-in1 construction truck I purchased a week ago. I’m very impressed with Amazon’s speed in getting me the replacement. Literally within 1 day, the replacement arrived, making my toddler very happy. We assembled the truck several times with different parts, and it worked well for a short while. Then one of the tire broke off from truck again and couldn’t be fixed. The product does have several advantages: 1) it can be assembled, using different parts, into four types of construction trucks;2) it makes sounds 3) it can be remote controlled , although you have to manually switch the button on and off at the base of the truck. 4) the truck is of the right size for a 2 year old. Big, but still easy to maneuver. The plastic felt brittle, and judging from our experience with the first product, the brittleness contributed to the broken wheel axial within minutes after the assemble. Playing with care might extend the product’s life—- but for 2-4 year-old kids, this can be challenging if not impossible. I had hoped it would be made of better material.Original post:In all of the years that I purchased toys from Amazon, this was the first one for broke on the first try. Because it was American designed, I have a lot of confidence that this toy would last a long time. I was wrong. We just received this yesterday, and I assembled it this morning. My toddler was so happy to play with it, which only adds to his great disappointment after seeing it broke. I requested resending another one like this, with the hope That this is unfortunately one deficit product that is not representative of the overall quality of this brand. I’ll wait to see and gave an update to review.

So great...except for the noise
This toy is great in so many ways. My almost-4-year-old son loves taking it apart, and he can mostly put it together again by itself. The remote control aspect is also fun, he loves driving it around, and I appreciate that the screw driver is also the remote control - fewer parts to keep track of! It’s gone down the steps a number of times, as well as off furniture, so I’d say it’s pretty durable. The one draw back - and unfortunately it’s a big one - is that this toy is SO NOISY! Seriously, it would have lost nothing is functionality or playability of they has made it half as noisy, and I would have been so much less likely to get fed up with the toy and hide it on the top shelf of the closet. Why...WHY would you make a children’s toy with really loud fake construction equipment sounds!?!? They serves no purpose but to make me want to rip my ears off.

Grandson loves it!
Just wanted to review this item. My 3 year old grandson is crazy about trucks and tractors. His birthday was in May and this is still a favorite. He has learned to use the manual screw driver correctly and can take the screws out and in with it. He doesn't use the battery driver as he finds it easier to just use the manual one. This has really taught him about the direction for off and on.Cons: you have to take off the bottom of the car to plug it into the charger. Wish I could purchase some extra screws.

Perfect for little children, one minor defect
This is the perfect toy for the specified age range of three to six years old--not too many parts, large pieces easy for little fingers to put together. And oh so much fun! Once we took the pieces out of the box and assembled the bulldozer in a few minutes, my three year old spent an hour driving the thing all around the dining room floor while the one year old looked on with glee. We noticed that it drives in a straight line on carpeted area, whereas on a hardwood floor it turns off course more since its tires spin unevenly. The only minor complaint I have is that the screws are not long enough to actually secure the seat portion--it just rests there. It's always coming loose from a little jostling or falling off. We will have to resort to superglue, I fear. So overall, awesome concept for a toy, great and simple design appropriate for young children, just a bit annoying that one part doesn't stay on with the screw.

My son absolutely loves this thing
Alright, we were cautiously optimistic based on some of the critical reviews... but this is a great toy. Easy for my 5 yr old to build, dismantle, and rebuild. The RC controls are pretty good and it moves quick. Definitely a great pick-up.The instructions are a bit lacking on charging - but there's a red LED that lights while the battery is charging and turns off when the battery is full.
