30th Anniversary Collection: His All Time Greatest Hits

Grew up listening to Paul Anka. Brings back lots of fond memories.

Now that we own this I'll put in my two cents worth.....I have complained about the sound quality of alot of the earliest CDs however I must give credit where credit is due. This is one of the earliest CDs (Mine is dated 1989) and I love it!! Rhino (As usual) has worked wonders with Paul's songs here. They are all original songs in order by date (1957-1978) and the Raw Power of the sound quality on this CD definately makes it a keeper!! Leave it up to a 50s-60s Icon like Paul Anka to brighten up the 70s music scene and that's exactly what Paul & Rhino have done here!! 17 of these classics are from the 50s & 60s but there are also 7 from the 70s. A beautiful female voice joins Paul in 4 of the 70s songs & I believe her name is Odia Coates. Those 4 tunes are even better with her input. Cudos!!.....28 Reviews & 25 of them gave this a 5 star rating & with good reason!! Buy it.....You won't regret it!!

While I can't argue with any of the choices on this CD, and it IS nice to see his ABC Paramount releases in their original format, Paul Anka charted too many songs for just one CD. And, at 69 minutes, 3, possibly 4 more songs could easily have been added. "I Miss You So" (a hit from the '40's and also sung by Little Anthony in 1965), the classic "Hello Young Lovers" and from the RCA era, "A Steel Guitar And A Glass Of Wine" would have been 3 of the obvious choices.Growing up I would always play both sides of a new 45 RPM and several of Paul Anka's flip sides stand out for my money. "Don't Gamble With Love," "Don't Ever Leave Me," "Adam And Eve," which actually charted in at #90 as the flip side of "Puppy Love" and the double sided "Kissin' On The Phone"/"Cinderella" are songs I remember really liking. "Something Happened," a song that Dean Stewart tried to make a go of, also charted at #41 and was the flip side of "My Home Town." All of the aforementioned are worthy of admission to this CD. Again, there just isn't enough room. So, in my opinion, nothing short of a 2 CD set (each 79 minutes) would warrant 5 stars from me.

Pretty good collection although some of the songs I never heard before now.

Received CD in excellent condition. Great songs with quality sounds, just as good or even better than the vinyl records. I enjoy it very much listening to this Paul Anka 30th Anniversary Collection Hits All Time Greatest Hits CD, which is remanufactured very well. It surely brings back good memories of the past. This was a very good purchase and very satisfied with it.

My cd had a classical music collection! I just opened it TODAY. There's no Paul Anka collection in it ! I was shocked. This has NEVER happened in all the cds I have ever ordered.Please make this right.

For many years I have heard his music and recently I heard a meeting with a reporter ith which he really impressed me.

CD received in perfect condition with all the songs I love, but NOT worth the price I paid :(

Paul Anka is such a talented singer and songwriter. This collection is my favourite because it has all of his biggest hits on it, right from the fifties to the seventies.I love his voice. The man's an absolute legend and icon of popular music. Underrated, in my opinion. He really is one of the greatest of all the greats.There's not a single dud track on this CD. I love listening to it all the way through.

A Rhino 24 track CD, has some great tracks from Diana 1957 to My Way 1978. All tracks are the original ones, so no re-recordings. Remastering is good for an early, 1989 CD. Diana and some other early tracks are mono, as is to be expected, but most tracks are stereo. It is expensive new, so I got a "used as new" one reasonably off an amazon shop. Recommended
