Q: Is the brim of the hat flat all the way around? The pictures are a bit deceptive.

The brim isn't flat, Steven. The sides curl up a little when the hat is on. My husband purchased two of them and they look great!

Not sure about the head band. I've never tried to change it. The hat is truly crushable. I have stuffed it the sleeve of my jacket many times and always comes out perfect. I love this hat.
