After having the hood of my E-350 try to play guillotine with my head and hands, I decided it was time to replace the struts. These went one super easy with only a small flat head screwdriver needed to pop the old strut clips off. Hood goes up and stays up even on cold days - which is when the originals would remind me they were failing. The build quality looks to be the same or nearly as good as the originals so I'm pretty confident I'll get a lot of use out of them. And for the price, I can buy many more sets and still come out ahead of the genuine MB-branded parts.

This was a perfect fit for a 2003 Mercedes Benz E320. Looks and feels to be of good quality. I recommend you watch the YouTube video first and it will take you 5 minutes to do the install. The only tool I used was one style flat head screwdriver to remove the retaining clip.

It's good to be back to normal. Using a stick to hold up the hood is very "not exactly".It does take effort to install these, they are very strong. A couple tries, I got them in place.My joy of a functional hood is tempered with a new understanding of weight and support. I had no idea of the force required to make it effortless to open.
