The Ultimate Moza Aircross 2 Review!
- Moza Aircross 2 probably had the best 3 axis gimbal in its weight class on the market. The majority of the front runners all have the ability to support light and medium DSLR camera rigs too and the Aircross 2 is no different. It offers a maximum load capacity of just over seven pounds of camera payload weight making it a beast. This should easily be enough to offer its excellent quality image stabilization for the vast majority of mirrorless camera setups available today. Additionally, it is also plenty to support a large number of popular light and mid-weight DSLR rigs without having any drop in the quality of the image stabilization that it offers.- MOZA Smartphone App: The only feature of the app that is not native to the Aircross 2 is the wireless remote control feature anyway so you really don’t have to download the app if you don’t want to. In our opinion though, it is well worth the download as it is free and offers some quick and easy access to your gimbal settings to make tweaks in seconds rather than minutes.- With Moza firmly setting their goals on becoming one of the dominant gimbal brands with their new Aircross 2, they have also upped their game when it comes to the build quality of the gimbal too. When it comes to the design space though, they have decided to stick to a more traditional handheld gimbal design. The actual build quality of the gimbal is solid though, not only is it pretty robust for a gimbal, it is also lightweight meaning that you can easily hold it for those longer recording sessions without your arm cramping up on you. Additionally, the tough build ensures it is strong enough to take any bumps that occur when recording or while transporting your hear. Another thing that we are happy to report is that the handle on the Aircross 2 is very comfortable too!- I totally agree that the Aircross 2 is an excellent gimbal and that Moza really has done an excellent job!

Excellent user-friendly gimbal for mirrorless and other cameras
I own three Moza gimbals (Air 2, AirCross 2, and the Mini-MI), so I have a good sense for their capabilities and features. For mirrorless cameras with a range of lenses, DSLRs with reasonably compact lenses, and even a camera like the Black Magic Pocket Cinema 4K with a lightweight prime or zoom lens the Moza AirCross 2 is a very user-friendly and capable gimbal that I can enthusiastically recommend both to amateurs who are new to working with gimbals and experienced videographers. Its maximum payload is 3.2 kilos (or just over 7 pounds), which provides quite a bit of flexibility in terms of what it will balance and carry. The fact that all three axes (roll, pitch, and tilt) can be locked separately is good both for taking it places and for getting your camera balanced correctly. You can also add the iFocus M focus motor (which comes with the Pro version from this seller for just 30 dollars more), or even two of them if you want to control both your focus and your zoom level through the gimbal, which has two separate connections for that scenario. In my case, I’ll primarily be pairing the Aircross 2 with a Canon EOS M5, as in the pictures and video I’ve uploaded, and I’ll be utilizing the camera’s constant autofocus to keep things streamlined. I should also mention that the camera comes with cables to allow full control of a large number of cameras (the exact models and functionality are specified on Moza’s website). There are a couple of things that I especially like about this gimbal, which make it more user-friendly in certain respects than its bigger brother the Air 2. One is that Moza has created an internal but removable battery pack that works really well (they also sell replacements if you want an extra). The batteries for the larger Air 2 (which itself weighs almost twice as much) seem to be less reliable based on my own and others’ experiences. In addition, the mechanics of the Aircross 2 are really easy to get used to, since it has 360 degrees of rotation on all three axes (not hard stops, like the Air 2 has). This means that you can use it in a really fluid way without suddenly coming up against a stop in mid-filming. Lastly, the Moza Master App allows you to control your Aircross 2 from your smart phone. This ranges from updating the firmware, to having the gimbal follow the tilt, roll, and pitch movements of the smart phone, to setting your phone up on top of the camera so that it keeps the gimbal pointing the camera at you (or something else you choose for it to follow and keep in focus) while taking video. I haven’t had enough time in the week I’ve had it to fully experiment with this, but it should allow you to successfully create a video where your gimbal-mounted camera will follow your movements around a room, for example, as you walk here and there. Pair that with a camera with autofocus like the EOS M5 and you’ve got a great way to capture yourself! So in sum I highly recommend this gimbal for medium-weight setups like mirrorless cameras or compact DSLR configurations. It is a really great way to incorporate gimbal-based footage into your videography, and even pretty experienced folks should find that it meets their needs. I consider it one of the very best current offerings on the market, especially at its price point. This is the first time I purchased from this seller and I was really impressed with their communication when I asked some questions prior to purchase, as well as the extremely quick shipping once I placed the order. The AirCross 2 arrived securely packaged with the manufacturer’s box inside a nondescript brown box and everything obviously brand-new. An especially nice feature is that the unit and included accessories (like the L bracket and smart phone holder) are all tightly ensconced in a solid storage box made out of extremely dense Styrofoam that I will definitely use both to keep the gimbal stored but also for travel as necessary. I hope this review has been helpful. Please see the pictures and a quick video I took of the gimbal as set up and then our backyard solar panels during my very first time using the gimbal.

Simple, creative, good and worth to have
I was looking for a suitable monopod for my video cameras, especially in spaces where the movement with the tripod is difficult. I found Moza Slypod Pro, which has built-in sliders with reasonable payloads.I am quite impressed with the initial trails. It has a lot of versatility and functionalities. It has a very good & solid design, and it is simple to use. It adds lots of cinematic video quality to the footage, those are not possible with simple tripods and monopods. This is excellent for revealing types of shots. It can extend up to 520mm which is not very small, even for distance shots, it’s always interesting if you can add some blurry foreground subjects. Sliding speed is also very good and can be customized according to the requirements. With its Pan & Tilt Head literally, you can shoot at any angle. It is backed by a fully-featured App, there are lots of functions like time-laps, and hyperlaps included there. Though I haven’t tried those. It can do tracking videos as well. Since I have Ronin RS2 at this moment, I couldn’t try that but should be very interesting and dynamic. The only limitation is the noise, especially if you want to shoot speech or song and minor movement/wave of the rod during a horizontal shot with a higher payload.Overall, the Price is a little bit high but very worth having this during the shoot.
