Good Product - PAY ATTENTION IN STEP 1 OF ASSEMBLY
Good solid product, once assembled. I had read the reviews about installing the first structural pieces upside-down, and although I thought I was careful, I did it myself. The wording/translation of the directions could be....better.What you consider the "bottom" or "floor" of the basket comes in 2 sections, bolted through the metal plates to the support bar in the center. The directions read "the tube must be flush with top of plate for correct assembly".What that really translates to/means is that the welds on what faces "up" on the two floor/bottom sections are flush with the TOP of the plate that is bolted to the support bar; the welds on what faces "down" are NOT flush with the BOTTOM of the plate that bolts to the support bar.If you get that wrong in step 1, you get to assemble almost all of it and suddenly the bolts do not align at all. Luckily I knew that was a possibility, and tightened none of the bolts more than hand-tight during the first pass....

Nice carrier
I ordered this to go behind my Mercury Mountaineer (like a Ford Explorer). Sometimes we take trips and need extra room if we are taking coolers, such as a driving to a beach vacation rental for a week. I selected this one because it was one of the few that fit my stock 1.25 inch receiver. I did not want to mess around with an adapter/converter because some of those are pricey, and I figured one more piece may create a little wiggle, but I could be wrong.Anyway, it arrived rather quickly which was good because I needed it for a cub scout campout. However, the campout was cancelled due to rain, so I never got to road test this.Assembly was very easy as far as figuring out how to put it together. I did have loosen some bolts and use some force to get everything lined up. I probably spent 45-50 minutes putting this together when in reality should have been able to do it in 30. I was almost going to go to the store and get stainless steel bolts and nuts to replace what came with this because I am a little concerned of them rusting if I go camping and it rains. However, since there were a lot, I decided to just assemble it. I may replace the bolts/nuts later if needed. This unit is 48inches wide. It hold my two coolers plus I have a little bit of extra space for something else. I would think the 60 inch ones would be very huge and heavy as far as installing on your vehicle by yourself. The directions say this is rated for 300 lbs for a 1.25" receiver or 500lbs for the 2". I don't see myself putting nearly that amount, so I don't expect an issue. The frame is quite rugged and there are no blemishes with the powdercoat finish.Even though I did not drive with it, I installed it on my vehicle to see if it would be okay. It was quite solid when I tightened the bolt. I recall there were two holes in the bar that you slide into the vehicle receiver. One is threaded for use with the thread bolt that comes with it. This bolt has a hole that will accept the included cotter pin, but it is two small to fit a small padlock that I have on a similar bolt that came with my bike rack. I may just use the bolt from my bike rack, or I may try to enlarge this hole.If you don't use the threaded bolt, there is a secondary hole that you use with a tubular bar made for securing hitch things. I think they sell these at Wallyworld and they have a locking mechanism on the end, but I don't feel the need to spend and extra 20 or 30 bucks when my bolts work fine.Overall, very happy with the purchase. I will update the review if anything changes after road test.

Ridiculously difficult to assemble. Actual assembled item is very good!
For the price, this is a great product. It's solid, sturdy and a good value. It will meet my needs perfectly. The assembly instructions are terrible. The 3 core structural pieces of the base have an up and down side. They are not marked which direction is up and which needs to be facing down. The unit will allows you to install the base wrong and you won't know it until you're just about fully assembled and then some of the final bolt holes are misaligned. This means one has to tear the damn thing down and again and start over, guessing again which direction is correct. Once satisfactorily assemble the unit is solid, sturdy and wonderful. I'm not a complete novice at this type of thing, but I needed to call in a neighbor's fresh eyes to see where my assembly error was.

Good value in a hitch-mount cargo carrier.
Some of the reviews I read spoke of misaligned holes and difficult assembly. I found the holes to be perfectly aligned and assembly was much less complicated than a lot of things I have purchased. The instructions are clear. The only tricky part is making sure that the two platforms are oriented so that the tops of them are flush with the hitch shank. If they aren't, then they are likely upside-down.The basket style carrier is perfect for the small hitch receiver on my R-Pod 179's rear. I moved the spare tire that was located there so that I could use this Curt carrier to hold a spare propane tank, a gas container for my generator, and another container where I keep my BBQ grill, home-built awning and slide-out covers, and my RV electrical cord. The size is perfect since it is narrow enough so that it does not block the taillights or license place holder. Yet, it is wide enough to be useful. The only thing that might cause problems is the base is just bars and not a solid or perforated, but nearly solid base. I ended up taking a piece of thin plywood, cutting it to fit about half (where the smaller items are) and sealing it with polyurethane. It served well on our most recent trip.I have not had to use it, but this carrier does come with an adapter that can be used with a 2" receiver. If it is set up with it, the weight it can carry is increased. However, I have not had a chance to test that. The bottom line is that I would recommend considering this basket style cargo carrier if you have the need for one.

An Excellent Product
The second generation version of these LED headlights are a big step up from the original version, which had external drivers. They seem to have the same chip layout and possibly the same LED chips as the AGR Lighting Ultra 2 headlights that cost more than twice as much. Installation is straightforward. They need to be rotated so that the chips face 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock, but this is easy to do because the bulbs have closely spaced detents. Once the bulbs are installed, make sure the high beams are above the low beams. If not, just rotate the bulbs 180 degrees. The best way to align the headlights is to find a dark, level road and adjust the high beams up and down until they shine far down the road. you can make small adjustments if you don't use your high beams much and want more illumination from the low beams. The headlights have a very natural white light and a very uniform beam pattern with no hot spots or darker areas. These headlights are vastly superior to halogen headlights

Meh, maybe should have spent more
Installed these on my mom's car at the beginning of DecemberVery easy to install but the first issue was immediate it's a 2 part install with the bracket being installed and then the bulb itself installed into the bracket, in theory a good idea but the bulb sits very loosely in the bracket and bounced around while driving I used a rubber gasket to add a bit of resistance and that seems to have resolved the issue for the time being, next problem is one headlight is slightly a different shade than the other and it's noticeably different from an oncoming view, final issue is although bright at short distance they do not perform nearly as well as my oem headlight bulbs. Disappointed but for the price it was sort of expected

Installed on my 2010 F150
Had to wait an extra few days to receive item and when delivered it was dropped on the inside of my fence at the corner of my home even though the gate was open. I did not receive any notifications that it was delivered, just happened to see it when I went to side window. I ordered on December 19th and it shipped on January 9th to be delivered by January 13th. On delivery day I received an email stating the delivery will be late after it was to be delivered. There was no option for faster delivery. The lights are great, much brighter than the halogen ones they replaced. They fit perfectly. No mods needed. Great product!
