If the light switch gets turned off will it reset to the temp of the light to default?

Hi dear customer,

This smart ceiling has memory function,after you connect the lamp with APP and setting is done,if you turn off the switch ,the smart ceiling light will keep the last state.
Such as your light is in a state of blue color at first , you went outside and turn off it by wall switch, when you back home and turn on it, the light is still the blue color you setting last time and you can continue to enter the APP to control it.

But please remember don't turn off and turn on the light serveral times in a row by switch, it will reset the lamp .

do you have to have your phone with app with you to turn it on or can you talk to it like Alexa to turn it on?

Regarding to the question you mentioned, i want to tell you that both APP and Alexa can turn it on.
No matter which channel you choose, you can control the smart ceiling light.

My lights will not connect thru wifi i do have 2.4ghz and am using the correct password. is there a troubleshooting video?

Hi dear,

Thanks for your question! Maybe you met somthing wrong with the process when you connect with APP, please follow the steps to register:
1. You should download the APP named "Smart Life" or “TUYA Smart”and make registration firstly with your cellphone number or mail address.
2. This ceiling light could only work with regular Toggle switch (not dimmable switch). After you install the APP, please click add the device and choose the first one " Light" , the same as shown in the video.
3. Then turn the switch on and off  7 times, at the seventh time, stop and wait. The light will start blinking which means that your cellphone already recognized the light and it works..
Anyhow, you can log into Youtube ,input "TALOYA Ceiling Light -G2" in the search. You will find the full installation video. By following the video instruction, it will be easier for understanding. Any more problem, please mail to us directly!

Can the white light & colored light be on at the same time?

Dear customer, the white light and colored light can't be on at the same time. The color light is for creating atmosphere. When the white light is on, the color light is almost invisual. Two lights be on at same time, the color light will be meaningless. Thanks.
