The Point3 New Road Trip Tech Basketball Backpack is an exceptional and thoughtfully designed backpack that provides spaces for shoes, tech, and even clothes. Some of the highlights that I like and my son, who is a varsity basketball player LOVES are:* Elastic mesh pouch that can be stashed when not in use. The basketball is secured in front on the outside of the bag. No rubbing against other items inside, or getting them dirty. It also isn’t occupying much needed space inside the bag.* Wonderful waterproof material is durable, but also lightweight.* Dedicated space for shoes, which is on the side of the outside of the bag. This is a ventilated mesh. Once again, this is a thoughtful design element that athletes will appreciate. My son sure does. Also, I always cringed about placing shoes inside bags with other items, including clothing. I would always make sure my son had an additional small bag to put his shoes I , and then place inside his bag, to ensure they didn’t touch anything inside. This bag solves that problem too. I love that the shoes are stores outside the bag. It also protects the shoes - very important, as the styles and prices of the shoes my son wears should absolutely be protected!* Waterproof padded sleeve for laptop - my son protects his technology very well, so this is huge!* Space for clothes - this is perfect for road trips, and even for practices.* TWO elastic mesh side water bottle pockets - because for athletes, one is never enough.* Easy-to-access compartments for essentials.* Padded shoulder pads.*Room for books and other school items. Essential for student-athletes.We also love the Point 3 Brand name, as my son is consistent in scoring multiple three pointers in every game.This backpack is a game changer that is obviously thoughtfully designed by and/or with the feedback of athletes. It has everything that student-athletes need for their busy schedules on the go. This is also a great backpack for everyone needing a great quality and versatile backpack. This is made with premium materials that secures both athletic and academic or business gear. I highly recommend it!

So, I am 5'3 and not so broad. I was looking forward to using this backpack for college, but I didn't realize how big it was. I packed my laptop in the back pocket, but it couldn't fit inside the sleeve (for reference, my laptop is 15.6 inches). I had some notebooks, chargers (in the convenient mesh pockets), pencil holders, and planners in the big pocket, but you can't see all of them because the two outside side pockets have things inside (water bottle, headphones), and they fill the space inside. This fact was frustrating since it was laborious to find something I needed.I found it interesting that the mesh made for the basketball usually is in a pocket in the base of the backpack, and you release it when needed. Nice touch!Overall, I think this backpack is genuinely made for athletes and people with stronger cores than mine. After walking for 10 minutes, my shoulders started to bother, and it didn't get better.
