Can the cutting board be placed in the dishwasher? Will it drop color?

Yes, the cutting board can be easily put into the dishwasher. It is made of 100% food-grade materials, which is the colour of the material itself, and there is no possibility of fading.

Do they leave knife marks on them after slicing and cutting?

No. I have not noticed any knife slice marks on these cutting boards, after slicing potatoes, carrots, onions, and thick chicken breast. These are extra thick and durable food mats. I love mine!

I am looking for colour-coded mats that do not curl up and slip. has anyone had problems with these mats not staying flat?

Not with the boards I purchased. When washed in hot water I always lay them flat until dry.
