Hyperion Heartless Prince

What if Sleeping Beauty were a prince, and what if his rescuer--the only person who could save him were a brave princess? Throw in some power-hungry witches with an army of strong zombie-like familiars, and you have The Heartless Prince.This is a good graphic novel. I only took off a star because the opening is too rushed and not enough time is spent building empathy for the main characters. There's also a lot of gore, which doesn't bother me. I'm an adult after all. But I'm not sure why this had to be a YA and not an MG. Without the gore, this could have worked for a wider audience.But, like I said, I'm an adult, and all-in-all, I liked The Heartless Prince.

The artwork is gorgeous and really helps tell the story. I usually don't go for graphic novels but couldn't pass this one by!
