Worth the money
Installed this on my 2003 Toyota Tacoma 4wd extra cab pickup with 3.4L engine...I was looking for a decent sound but not overly loud and this delivered perfectly...Seems to have improved throttle response after adding a cold air intake kit...Used stock pipe in front of muffler cut off from OEM exhaust and AP tailpipe with stainless steel band clamps...Installed in less than 30 minutes...Definitely would recommend!

Great on 3rd gen 4Runner
Went from a JLA? muffler (cant remember which one) to this on my s/c 3.4l 3rd gen 4Runner. It sounds great, nice deep sound without being too loud. The sound is way higher quality than I was expecting, to be honest. I just wanted something a bit quieter than what I had. At stop lights its so quiet and smooth inside the vehicle that I sometimes think my truck stalled for a quick second. But when you punch it, you get a mean sound that is not obnoxiously loud or cheap sounding.

Good sound.
Sounds good on my 96 3.4 Tacoma. Maybe should have went with the non xl model but still quality muffler.

Good sounding muffler for a good price.
Installed on a 99 4runner, sounds pretty good without too much drone. Sounds much better than the 40 series flowmaster that was on my old one.

3rd gen 4runner 3.4L use the 40665 borla
Got this for my 2000 4runner 3.4L and it’s great. Only thing I was sort of bummed about is that I realized our stock exhaust system is 2.5” not 2.25” like this muffler.. I still installed it just fine with a couple reducers but it would’ve been waaaayyyyy easier with the 40665 borla.... sounds great, more ground clearance, weight savings.. can’t complain for 130$ish total it sure beats spending 6-800$ on a cat back exhaust system.
