over the years when i would, by chance, read an article of the Southern Baptists, whether in a newspaper, magazine article, or on television, i would, quite often, take note that my ideas and beliefs coincided with that of the Baptists. besides studying and reading books for years, i have read my King James Bible 32 times, and the new testament over 70 times, i am sure. coming out of the catholic faith about 15 years ago, i wondered which denomination i would be mostly aligned with, according to their creed and issue of faith. i got my answer when i purchased and read this book! i could NOT find an issue which i disagreed with at all. i now know i am a Southern Baptist. Problem is, i am from Ohio. But...i still have my Bible and this uplifting-of-the-spirits book. good buy

The LBC 1689 is on my Kindle. I can reference the LBC on my iPhone, iPad, Laptop and computer. Technology is wonderful. Often throughout the week when talking to people, when writing lessons, or corresponding I reference LBC. It is excellent and I highly recommend it to you.

For those who want a concise view of Biblical truth this is for you. This is a mini body of Divinity, the Scripture references are wonderful. The great doctrines of the Bible are beautifully set forth in a format easy to read. I have used the paper copy for many years, and it is a great subject for Sunday School teaching. We have been through it many times and are blessed each time.

Nicely laid out version of one of the most important confessions of faith in Christian History. I really like the fact the scripture passages are printed at the end of the chapter making study that much easier. My only complaint is the quoted scripture is not the KJV, a fact I did not fully realize when I ordered.

I use this copy of the 1689 as an evening devotional, reading the chapter that corresponds to the day of the week. Because of the way I use it, I really hope a smyth sewn (hard or soft-cover) version of this journaling edition is made available. I know I will wear out the paper binding by using it daily, but what ya gonna do?

The church needs to go back to using confessions and creeds. They really flush out church beliefs. The confession allow members and leaders to understand what they believe.

I have always wanted to own a copy of the LBC 1689, and was very glad to see this on Kindle. The format is easy to read and access different chapters. All in all, a very good read.

The second most beautiful book I have ever read. The eloquence in the writing and the precision in the doctrine is amazing. In an age where professing Christians are so confused and out of kilt with 2000 years of Christian history, what could be more beneficial than going back to one of the most admired doctrinal statements in history?
