Are these essentially the same as the ones that you sell in the bag? I notice on the bag it doesn’t say “crushed peppermint”.

I purchased them recently, and they're the same as the bags. I'm not sure why it says "crushed peppermint." When I compared the baged mints to the ones from the tin, I didn't notice any difference at all. I purchase these mints all the time and will continue to do so. I guess it just depends on whether or not you want the metal tins

Are the drops the same size as those in the bag?

Thanks for the great question.  The drops are the same size as the bags that have been made since September 2019.  You can find by the expiration date on the back of the bag (EXPIRATION DATE - 2 YEARS).  For bags made before September 2019, the drops are now round instead of oval, and are 3.2 g instead of 3.5 g.  We made this change based on customers telling us they wanted a slightly smaller piece.  The great news is that the peppermint oil is exactly the same one and amount found in the oval pieces.  
The other good news is that from September 2019 and beyond, we made tummydrops even better by listening to customers like you.  Now, in addition to being 3rd party certified gluten-free, kosher, Non-GMO, they are Oregon Tilth certified organic.  In addition, our brown rice syrup is a certified unclarified InfantSafe, which means it contains important trace nutrients removed by clarification (it will be more brown in color, and slightly less sweet with an improved glycemic index), but, most importantly, is analyzed to prove there are no heavy metals, including NO LEAD, NO ARSENIC, NO CADMIUM, AND NO MERCURY.  Some consumers may not be aware that there are many items in our food supply with unsafe levels of heavy metals.  At present, the FDA does not regulate these levels for dietary supplements, so the responsibility for bringing a safe product to the market rests with the brand.  At tummydrops, we believe that it is our responsibility to give our customers only the purest, most effective, & safest natural product for digestive health & upsets.  That is why we don't just make claims, we prove them with independent 3rd party certifications and clinical trials.  Unfortunately, there are other products that make claims and do not support them with 3rd party testing.  We encourage you to reach out to any brand you may use to ask them to share the validation and proof behind their claims, ranging from natural food claims like gluten-free and Non-GMO, to health claims, to heavy metal analysis.
