The top layer part of this cheap material is cork so if you’re looking for a complete cork yoga mat, this is NOT it

For the price you can’t beat this cork mat. The dense foam backing is a little thicker than some others in this price range and I find it cushions my knees without compressing to the floor. Just be sure to roll it cork-side out to avoid making creases in the cork.

Was very apprehensive about buying another yoga mat. In the past I've had issues with either cushion-ness or slippery-ness (especially my sweaty hands) or a combo of the 2! This mat exceeded my expectations. The thickness is PERFECT for my knees... and the grip from the cork top is so much better than any other mat I've ever had. I have sensitive knees (from a hiking injury) and this mat gives just the right amount of "give" for my knees to not feel like they are grinding into the floor. The mat is also beautiful and I love the alignment lines... until I attended a class where the instructor actually had these lines on her mat and would use them to demonstrate alignment as she taught the class... I never realized what a difference attention to alignment can make in your practice! The only "gripe" I do have about this mat is... you shouldn't roll it up super tight with the cork side facing inward... the cork "crinkles" up a bit if you do that.... so be sure to roll the mat up with the cork side facing outward and not too tightly... hoping the cork will smooth it's self back out over time with usage. But other than than that.... this one checks all the boxes I was looking for.
