Great purchase
I recently had surgery and had to sleep in a recliner for a couple of weeks. This pillow was wonderful for keeping my head in a comfortable upright position. I also found that it works great in my jetted soaker tub! I think this would be excellent in the car but have not done that as of yet.I have not used the pillow for travel(airline) so I cannot comment on that. (That is why I gave only 4 stars)

Fragile, messy, unusable
Takes very little to puncture the material and let loose millions of tiny beads. Within 3 days I repaired at least 8 small punctures or splits in the seam. I finally gave up and just threw the pillow in the trash.

The Total Pillow is very stiff when you get it. I figured out how to soften it.
I placed the pillow on the floor and walked on it very carefully with my bare feet. This squeezed the little foam balls that are inside of it and flattened them out. The more I walked on it the better it got. I did this three times to get it where I wanted it. Now it is very soft and flexible. I love it now! I had rotator cuff surgery and must sleep in a recliner. I place the pillow under my head and keeps me from flopping my head from one side of the other and waking up with a stiff neck.

ended up returning, not that comfy
I have a very high hope for this product. However, when you try to sleep in the car with the pillow, there's a beads noise from inside the pillow when your car move. Couldn't sleep and not feeling comfortable around the neck area. Returned it.

Eye Surgery head rest...👍👍👍
This pillow was great. Eye surgery and had to keep my head level (down) for a week 24/7 Vitrectomy eye surgery !!!!! Pillow is firm but very comfortable!For a travel neck pillow it would be bulky 😐

So Helpful and Comfy!
I just received this pillow this morning and I think it's going to be marvelous!!It works perfectly in my easy chair where I needed something to support my head.I can see it being very useful during my vacation.Only thing negative is that that picture is different than the pillow I received.

It's certainly attractive in these colors, but I've owned several of the original blue color of this product over the years, and this grey one doesn't come close to the softness and bendability of the blue. For now its being used more as a throw pillow than for anybody's neck.
