Indestructible
I bought this around 5 years ago. It has seen some of the most horrendous treatment by myself and somehow, it still works. This thing is damn near indestructible.

Service you don’t get anymore!
Great product and even better customer service! I had a problem and called their number, George picked up and talks to you like a real person. What a mensch!Of course it was user error. Worked like a charm after i did the steps George recommended.

Excellent customer service
I had a problem with my PageFlip Firefly losing Bluetooth connection during a performance. After resetting the connection, I used it for several weeks when suddenly the pedal would not turn on. I contacted George and mailed him my unit. He promptly replaced my pedal. He couldn’t find anything wrong with my old one, but I haven’t had a problem with the Firefly since.

Excellent customer service
After connecting the PageFlip pedal, I discovered the right pedal did not work. I contacted PageFlip by email. They responded quickly. After providing the information on my specific pedal, they sent me a new pedal. Very pleased with their response.

*Updated review*
Edit to add:I contacted PageFlip's customer support team on the phone. They were very helpful and sent me a replacement, which works great so far! Much happier. Thanks!Previous review:I had a PageFlip Firefly for 8 years and had no issues. Finally, the Bluetooth connection started getting spotty so I decided to replace it. I didn't even think twice about getting another brand as I was so happy with mine.Sadly, the first one I received did not work at all. The right pedal was so stiff that it was very difficult to actually push it hard enough to turn the pages. The left pedal has no issue. I contacted customer service and got a replacement. The replacement was just slightly better, but still, sometimes I will push the right pedal 20 times before it actually turns the page!Needless to say, that is not reliable enough for performance. This time I contacted the company directly about my problem. They said they would send me a replacement, but that was at the beginning of July. It's now the end of July and I have not heard back from them or received the replacement. It's past the return window and I lost money on this. Very disappointed.

Godsend
The PageFlip Firefly BT pedal is a godsend to musicians using digital score readers. It makes page-turning an absolute breeze, almost like the score’s pages are effortlessly turning themselves. This pedal has removed much of my stress during public piano performances. I find it superior to the AirTurn pedal in several ways.As a classical pianist who practices several hours a day, I had been using the AirTurn pedal for about two years. I switched to the PageFlip Firefly about six months ago. I’ve used both pedals with the forScore and Newzik score-reading apps.Advantages, in no particular order, of the PageFlip Firefly over the AirTurn:The PageFlip Firefly is less finicky than the AirTurn. I no longer have to worry about inadvertently turning two pages at once; The PageFlip is easier to find with my foot. The shape of the pedal matches the shape and angle of my foot on the floor. The lightly-corrugated, rather than slick, surface feels more secure; The PageFlip BT pairing mechanism is simple, straightforward, and immediate, whereas the AirTurn is more complex and can be very frustrating to attempt to pair; The PageFlip is more substantial, seems better-made, and seems not to slide on the floor so much;My experience with customer support for the PageFlip (when I wanted to re-program certain pedal functions) was outstanding. My experience with AirTurn’s customer service (when I had trouble pairing with my iPad a couple of times, and once when the pedal failed) varied from excellent to horrible, depending on whom I reached. In the past several months, several of my amateur and professional friends, colleagues, and musical partners have upgraded from the AirTurn to the PageFlip Firefly; they express general agreement about superior functionality.Usage TIP:You can make the process almost effortless—and avoid unnecessary movement, stress, and musical disruption—by resting your foot on the PageFlip pedal itself, rather than on the u.c. (pianists), the floor, or perched at an angle above the pedal. Before you start playing the piece, rest your foot (all the way down) on the Firefly pedal, it turns the score to p.2. Don’t move your foot, and use your finger to tap the iPad to turn back to p. 1. Keep your foot down as you start playing. To turn each page, lift your foot up a bit, then lower it all the way to rest on the pedal again until the next page turn.(Note: For this to work, the Repeat switch on the pedal must be in the off position.)

Customer Service is amazing!
I've had this PageFlip since 2019 and it's going strong! I just figured out I can play videos from it for my upcoming show by changing the commands via my computer. I was confused so called customer support and it was a real live human who took his time and answered all my questions until I had it working the way I needed. Thank you!

FAILED WHEN IT COUNTED MOST
After rehearsing with this unit for months, the unit started turning multiple pages at once. NOTE: I had the "repeat" switched to "Off" and turned pages by lifting my foot off the pedal and pressing down (and holding) again. Thinking it might be a battery issue, I loaded new AA's. But, that didn't solve the problem. Unfortunately, I decided to use it in the performance for which I had been rehearsing and in the second musical number it started turning more than one page—which could have been a disaster had I not (a) known my music very well; and (b) had the skill to fill with one hand while my other tried to recover the IPad pro to the correct page. Needless to say, this is a piece of gear that will no longer be in my kit. It had ONE JOB and it failed at the very worse time. I've concluded that in ForScore on the IPad Pro with a Pro subscription there really is NO reliable method for page turning other switching the App to performance mode and manually pressing the screen. Facial recognition is not reliable.
