Works Great!
This is this area the bathroom that my light doesn't reach to when the sun goes down. I just make sure I put it an area where there is absolutely no light otherwise it doesn't work.

USE OF MULTIPLE LIGHTS PROBLEMATIC AND ADHESIVE DAMAGES WALLS... READ BEFORE YOU BUY
If you're looking to light up a dark space with just one of these lights, then I'd consider this a 4-5 star purchase, especially at this price. My only recommendation would be to consider rechargeable batteries. These are rated for 540 on/off cycles, but I've found that the light output dims considerably much sooner than that--to the point of not being all that useful--so using regular AAs can get expensive. The real problems begin, however, if you're planning to use more than one light in a location. This could easily be a requirement in a larger closet, and even the product photos show an example of this. What you'll find is that more often than not, one light or the other will turn on, but not both. The light from the one that turns on first prevents the other from turning on. Occasionally, you may hit it just right, and both lights come on at the same time, but mostly you'll just get one.Bottom line: where a single light is enough, these are great. But for locations that need more than one light, look elsewhere. Lights operated by a remote may be your best bet. ALSO: if you're installing on sheet rock or a painted surface, the glue pad used on these lights WILL damage the walls when removed. I discovered that the hard way when removing lights in locations where multiple lights failed to work. The paint and top layer of sheet rock were firmly adhered to the pad. Screw-mounting is another option, and each light comes packed with 3 screws and wall anchors for that purpose. Thanks for taking the time to read my review and I hope you find it helpful in making a buying decision. If you're looking to buy multiples of these lights at once, check out the mfgrs website where discounts are offered for purchases of 2 lights and more.

Very useful for all dark places
I had those kind of lights before from another brand, but I never was impressed by the amount of light they displayed. So I decided to go with those, to see the difference. And WOW, they put quite the light show !After accomplishing the challenge of the impenetrable clam-shell packaging, I inserted the 3 AA required batteries (not included), and I was ready to use the light. This light is super bright, and it will come right on after inserting the last battery. So avoid to look at it if you don't go temporary blind.Light is around 4 inches in diameter. It has a 3M double sided patch tape on the back, but that's pretty much all it came with in the box though. The detachable base has some holes in it, in case you choose to mount it more permanently somewhere (again, you will have to provide the mounting hardware). At the end, I was so pleased with those that I order 3 more !So in short...GOOD:- VERY bright light, and will light up a large area.- Has a more diffused light beam.- Feels sturdy and less cheaply made than other brand I tested in the past.- Will turn on ONLY when motion is detected AND when it's dark where the light is.- Once triggered, light stays on for around 20 seconds (or as long as movement is detected).- Comes with a 3M double sided patch tape already installed on the back.- Not too expansive.NOT SO GOOD:- VERY sensitive to any little movement.- Will not trigger only in total dark area, but in medium lighted area as well.- NO magnetic back. Shame, because if you need to temporary mount it on a metal surface you cannot.- Mounting hardware NOT included.

Better than most due to AA batteries
This light has one big advantage over most other lights of this type, that is, it uses 3 AA batteries rather than AAA batteries. The time a battery lasts is indicated by how many Mah (milliamp hours) of electricity can be stored in a single battery. AA's can store around 2000 whereas AAA's can store only around 700! Do I need to explain more?Couple of negatives that aren't too serious - the temperature of the light is 6200K and I would have preferred a warmer light of 2700 to 3000. This is minor. More serious is that the motion sensor WILL NOT turn on the light unless the room is dark! Frankly, if I'm going into my pantry looking for something in the winter, it isn't light enough inside to be able to see clearly. But, my light won't come on based on my motion. In other words, the light sensor decides whether or not to let the motion sensor work. If light sensor senses light, then it overrides the motion sensor. I believe this can be disabled, but this would require some knowledge to identify the light sensor and cut it out of the circuit. I think the light sensor is way too sensitive in that when I open the door to whatever, the light sensor won't come on if there is much light in the room - mainly daylight coming in through windows. So, basically, this light will only come on by motion when it is night time and lights in house aren't too bright. I ordered 6 of these from a place on Amazon. Also, be careful using peel off sticky because if you remove, it will probably pull paint off your drywall.
