Eccolo Essential Collection 5 x 7 Inches Lined Journal, Cherry Blossoms

This journal is cute. It was the exact color I thought it would be, has a nice binding, and feels good in my hands. My only complaint is that it most definitely is not the size advertised; it's smaller. Still, I can use this as a journal if I use two pages at a time, and on days that I don't have much to write, one page will work. It's still really pretty and I'm not sorry I purchased it.**Update: I would definitely buy this again in another design. After using it as a journal for some time now, it is holding up well. The paper is good quality and the pages have enough room to write a day's entry or, if I need to write more, I use two pages. Very good product!

The cover on this journal is absolutely beautiful. The leather feels awesome in your hands. If its purpose was to just sit and hold it, I'd give it 5 stars. But its purpose is to write in. The first page is iffy when it comes to writing. The way the book is bound together makes writing on the first page difficult. I guess you can skip it, but I didn't pay this price to leave pages blank. One page isn't a big deal though. It appears that the book can lay almost flat on other pages. I just don't know how badly this will break the spine and if pages will fall out. If they do, I'll be back to edit this review. The binding isn't the book's fault. I should've known it wouldn't lie flat. My fault or not though, it hinders my ability to write well, and if it's going to cause issues, I may end up not using it.The aspect that I absolutely hate, and if I'd seen a better interior picture I wouldn't have purchased this at all, is the color of the pages.Ivory.Most people won't have a problem with it, but I hate ivory. Cream, off-white, beige...etc. Yuck! If the pages were white, pure white, despite the first page and the binding, I would've given this book 5 stars. The ivory may go well with different covers, but this beautiful pink deserved white.

I bought this as a journal for my mom to write memories of my aunt who passed away. I want to give this to my cousin for Mother's Day. It's small, 5 by 7, and the pages are narrowly lined. My mom will be able to write a lot. The binding is quite sturdy, and I think it will hold up well to many readings. The cover is in relief, so the tree is inset on the cover. The color was exactly as I pictured it. This would also be a great personal journal. It might also be a nice travel journal. It would fit easily into carry on bags and not take up much room.

Shipped here in a timely manor. It's a super cute journal. Just wish it was bigger. I normally would just go to Walmart to get a journal so I can see what I'm getting before I buy. But I was trying to use up a Amazon gift card.

Such smooth paper to write on. I love the feel of the pages and the cute design on the cover perfect travel size. Do not reccomend if you have large hand writting and need more space.
