Himouto Umaru-chan [Blu-ray]

Very silly and loaded with game references everywhere. No Plot required. XD Makes me miss the days when i too was immune to sleep deprivation and eating junk food.

One of my favourite animes, it was nice to finally add this to my blu ray collection after ages of streaming on crunchyroll.

Himouto Umaru-chan has been one of those shows I watch when I want something unserious and silly. There's a lot of themes around school life and city life in Japan and as someone who hopes to go there one day I'm hoping to live through the lenses of the mcs (even though I'm sure Japan is much different irl) The colors and animation of this anime are really fun, whimsical, and will be sure to get you hooked if you enjoy cute things like myself I'll get into what I love and don't love about the characters here. The mc (Umaru) wears a mask of perfection while at school and is a goofy but extremely lazy bum at home. I feel horrible for her big brother for all the stuff he has to deal with once she's home but their dynamic is really fun. I like all of the dynamics of the characters at some point of the series. However I hated Kirie in the first episode she appeared in but she has also grown on me overtime. I'm usually someone who hates anime tropes with a passion (which is kinda strange considering I started watching this series) but they have some charm outside of their tropes in an episode or two. If you feel a bit annoyed at some of the characters at first like I did maybe give a few more episodes a chance and see if they grow on you as at the start of the show for me I found most of them annoying until figuring out more about them. Quality of the Blu-ray is great and looks as good as any other anime Blu ray I've purchased. I'd say color wise this (out of everything I've watched so far) is similar to No Game No Life (besides the red line art). I will say this show is a lot more family appropriate than No Game No Life and I feel like this show can be shown to younger audiences while still appealing to adults like myself. There is a Japanese dub with English subtitle option, English dub, and (something I find extremely unique on anime dvds/blu rays) the Japanese voice actors commentating on the episodes (this one I'd recommend after watching the series and getting familiarized with it) I know this review was long but I wanted to get into what I personally enjoyed and enjoyed less about the show and while this isn't a 10/10 anime it was something nice to try since I usually tend to tread towards darker shows like Re:Zero, Made In Abyss, and Summertime Rendering. Unlike the shows I usually watch this isn't something you're going to get a profound message out of (obviously) and if you just want to put on something that makes you feel good I'd recommend this

Great Anime and a great box set. only complaint is that the foam on the inside is very flimsy and was a bit damaged when I received the package. (so be aware of that if you are thinking of purchasing the Limited Edition) other than that it is a great box set for any Himouto! Umaru-chan fan!

Was delivered in good time, it came in good condition and the video was good. This is a hard series to find, so finally having a copy is great, especially when I can watch it in English

星5です。 全て承知の上で購入しました。 import版であるため、普通のプレーヤーでは見れず、リージョンフリーのブルーレイプレーヤーは所持していません。 また、パソコンも化石であるため、ブルーレイドライブがありません。 更にはタイトル通り、箱の中は裂けていました。外からは何ともないですが、中箱の上下の収納スペースを区切る部分から横に。 それでも満足です。 何故なら、日本版には決してついてこない魅力的な収納ボックス、全話を2枚に納めてあるため入れ替える手間が少ないこと(見れないけど)、英語字幕はオフにできオーディオコメンタリーもしっかりついていること(見れないけど)、可愛いストラップやフィギュアが付いていることが、それを全て帳消しにしてくれます。 特に収納ボックスが良い！ これだけ色んな特典がついていながら、全てを箱うまるちゃんに収納できます。 しかも、干物妹状態で憎たらしくも可愛いらしいデザイン！ これだけでかなりの価値があります。少なくとも私には。 見れずとも、私のように持っておきたい人は買う価値ありかも？ 将来、パソコンを新調するために、お兄ちゃんのように仕事を頑張る励みにもなります(笑)

Supongo que si lees esto es porque sabes qué es Himouto Umaru Chan y lo que te interesa es saber qué viene en esta caja. Tengo que ser honesto, lo único que quería era la primera temporada, pero ¡caray! Esta presentación me enamoró. Para empezar me sorprendió el tamaño de la caja, es mucho más grande de lo que uno imaginaría por las fotografías, pero es más o menos del tamaño de una hoja tabloide y muy gruesa para guardar el montón de cosas extra como juguetes, llaveros y otros discos que incluye la edición. Sin embargo, no todo es perfecto. Si bien incluye toda la primera temporada, no están presentes los episodios que salieron en OVAS, esto quiere decir que no veremos ni el especial de Noche de Brujas ni el capítulo del balneario y eso es bastante triste. Pero lo que es más triste es que los discos vienen en jewel cases, o lo que es lo mismo, en cajas de CD y éstas son verdaderamente frágiles, hasta el momento sólo he abierto la caja con los blu-rays de la serie y no aguantó más de tres aperturas. Digo, se puede cambiar la caja, pero uno espera que a estas alturas y, por el precio de la edición, los materiales serían de mejor calidad. Pero eso no demerita en lo absoluto el "todo" de esta hermosa presentación que debe estar en la colección de cualquier fan de Himouto Umaru Chan. Así que ve por unas papas fritas, ponte tu capa de hámster y disfruta de esta serie mientras te hidratas con deliciosa Coca-Cola.
