Cast Iron Griddle for Weber
I was impressed at how well this worked in my grill. It fits exactly in the opening on the grill. Cooked my burgers perfectly and cleanup was reasonable. Will enjoy for many years to come.

Also work perfectly on stove
Use on stove top to grill chicken and fish. No need to use oven when cooking for a couple people.

Well made product
I bought this item to go with my Weber Performer Deluxe charcoal grill. I had been wanting a griddle surface for my grill, but was not motivated to solve that problem until my current grate insert began to wear out. My debate was between buying this griddle insert or completely replacing my grill grate with one of the griddle tops from Arteflame. I decided to go with this insert as a lower cost option to test out my usage. I'm glad I did as this has become a regular part of my grilling. I've found that it's the right amount of surface area for griddle vs. grate when I'm grilling almost anything. ie: I have room for cooking burgers around the outside of the grill while roasting vegetables or baking a cornbread in the middle griddle. Things like that. Btw...searing a good steak in butter on the pre-heated griddle makes some of the most fantastic steaks I've grilled.Like: Fit is great. Versatility is high (I can even use it in my oven or induction top if needed). It's sturdy and feels substantial in your hands. Surface was seasoned, I further seasoned it and it's been great so far.Dislike: Nothing so far. It seems like it will hold up to the kind of heat I put to it as long as I take care of it.

Takes abuse really well...
This is great.First, I thought it was affordable as a Weber accessory.Second, it works GREAT as intended. My number one use is for peppers and onions which will then be used with grilled fajita meat. It is just nice to get the complete contact heat from this with no concern about fall-through. It can be VERY not, so make sure you have nice long utensils. I definitely need to get some of those gloves for using this.Third, those nice lifted handles, make it fairly easy get off of the hot grill. I use my oven mitts, but again, plan to get some better grill gloves for it. I'd say that's a must if you plan to remove this piece in the midst of a grill session.Fourth, and perhaps my favorite aspect. The fact that it is porcelain covered is a HUGE plus...when I remove it from the hot grill to put my grate back on, this gets set down on the cement. It's hot. So, if I forget it that night, and it rains....there is no risk of rust. Believe me, I left it outside for 3 weeks and was expecting some tiny breach in the porcelain coating, but there was none. And, you cannot see this coating, or even tell that it's there. I already knew I liked porcelain coated black cast iron...I have a few Staub pieces that are like this.Fifth...SO VERSATILE! I've been able to use this inside the house on stove top, and also in the oven. A Lowcarb/keto tortilla pizza that go from the stovetop to your hottest oven a la Kenji López-Alt of Serious Eats is the bomb.

FYI: rough enameled cast iron
This is an amazing pan, perfect depth, but surprisingly, it’s allegedly enameled, not plain cast iron. The surface is very rough like sandpaper, so I have to rethink how to use it. I originally wanted it as a multipurpose comal/tava for stove-top indoor use, but it is indeed very rough... I might end up sanding the interior and seasoning it like cast iron...? (but it’s super cute and kind of a perfect size)

Nice added feature for the Man grill
I purchased this item to use on my charcoal and gas grills. I wanted something that was heavy enough to use as a skillet that would hold all those good meat juices that I lose through the grill grates. This baby fits the bill. It heats up and holds heat very well. I use it for sauteing vegs and stir fry right on the grill and the burgers and chicken breast come out great after they re-absorb their juices. It is cast iron so it took a few cooks for it to break in. This baby is heavy. I got my monies worth. Not a cheap feeling item. It will last for years. We also use it on the stove for Naan, tortillas and fajitas. Even though it says its a Weber it's versatile enough to use on any grill, just place it on the grates and heat it up. It's no different then a cast iron flat skillet.
