First off, the handle is flimsy as the handle can be taken off and once I tighten it, it's just ok. I must have missed that the handle twists off. It does have a sharp tip, which is good, but the rest of it isn't. I believe that causes it to not open envelopes smoothly. I want a letter opener to open a letter in one nice swipe. Maybe that's just me though and maybe my expectations are off. If you are wanting one that looks nice, but not pay too much, this is great. If you want something more, you should probably look at a different one.

Not sharp enough to work good

Bought for my elderly mother to keeping her 'everything' basket on her bed.

Nice sharp blade and good size for my hand. I use this at my desk at work.

It is just a little too sharp for my use, but I can certainly rip open those envelopes with ease.

screw in threads broke 2 days in, handle no longer attaches
