Gateway flashlight for a brighter world!
The SC31 pro is well built, has a nice sturdy side switch that controls all functions. It uses the anduril UI, which can be used in simple mode (on/off, lockout, battery check, smooth/stepped ramping, turbo) or advanced mode in which you can custom a lot of parameters (eg. Disable turbo, change the switch button intensity or even turn on auto lockout) also let you access some interesting features (different strobes), some very remarkable like the candle mode (the light strobe mimics the light that comes from a candle) or the lighting mode ( the light mimics a thunderstorm pattern). One would never thought a simple flashlight would be able to have some many features. So let's go to the performance, it uses sst40 LEDs, they are pretty bright and matches pretty well with the reflector, it has an impressive power for its size. At turbo it takes a few minutes to get hot as any turbo flashlight, but the medium and high modes are more than enough for daily use. Overall, a good flashlight to start in the flashlight world, with plenty of features for the price point, the built-in rechargeable battery and onboard charging seal the deal. Pros - anduril (brightness ramping, simple and advanced mode choice) - onboard charging Cons - the USB charging flap seems fragile (I charge my batteries in a dedicated charger) Neutral - smooth reflector as only option - no boost/buck driver (but the stock driver performs pretty well - more emitter choices? Conclusion One of the best bang for the buck lights that you can get

Great all around flashlight.
Awesome little light. It goes everywhere with me. I have owned a lot of different flashlights, but this works great. It is compact and lite. The magnetic base is a game changer on the farm for sure. This is the 3rd one I've bought. Not because they die, but its nice to have one, in my pocket, on the tractor, in a vehicle. Would recommend to anyone who is a flashlight nerd like myself.

A must have EDC flashlight!
This is my 2nd sc31. Sofirn makes a great flashlight. I recommend this to all my techs and have both many other Sofirn products for friends and family. The Sc31 is extremely bright and gives the user the ability to cycle between lots of different modes fairly easily. The pro comes with the magnetic base which is a must have for me. Long battery life tough build. Get yourself a Sofirn Sc31 Pro!

Good flashlight...thought the battery was bad but I guess user error
EDIT: I had posted something below but I changed my review. This thing is really sensitive to the base being screwed in properly. I never had that issue before but I guess it wasn't fully engaged. So, make sure that's all set in case you think yours has died too. It's a really bright quality flashlight. Old review: Worked great for a while. Now won't work unless I have it plugged directly in. I saw one other reviewer say the same thing. It's not the battery. The battery works just fine in another light.

Good little EDC with limitations
After owning for about 1 week I have a few observations. 1. Very bright. I believe the 2000lm claim to be accurate. When compared to other brands claiming 1500-1800 this appears ever so slightly brighter. Lower brightness setting tend to have a slight yellow tint while full brightness is pure white. 2. Controls, while a bit confusing, are intuitive. I like the smooth ramp up/down vs preset levels (you can set both options) Memory feature returns brightness to last used setting each time. 3. USBc cable, lanyard, and alternate magnetic tail cap included. 4. Smaller and less expensive than comparable EDCs I own. It fits in a pocket better and I'm less worried about damaging or losing it. 5. HOT. There is very little in the way of heat dissipation. Above medium brightness it gets quite warm. At full brightness you only have 30-40 seconds before the front half is too hot to touch. I imagine this will ultimately impact the LED lifespan. If you require massive light for extended periods look elsewhere. 6. I cannot speak to water resistance, battery life, or overall lifespan but build quality doesn't raise any concerns yet.

A pocket-sized wall of light
I’ve been studying lights for a while now looking for something that can help me navigate the farm at night. My criteria was convenience, price, output/ brightness and durability. At first, I thought the size would be too big coming from a Thrunite T1. Let me tell you this light is amazing! I know the lights are completely different in size and output, but I’ve not picked up my original go-to since purchasing this. My thoughts and findings: - First the size is perfect, it fits in my pocket without being too big or in the way. Not so small it is getting lost all the time. - This battery lasts! I often find myself in the barn and night which does not have any power. A magnetic endcap is critical to put on a beam or side of the trailer and illuminate the area I am working in. I was able to stay in the stalls for what seemed like forever without losing light. Previous light would fade away, and I would know it was time to call it a night. - This thing is bright! Living in the country I can light up a whole area and then quickly lower the output when I find what I am looking for. It is like a giant wall of light when hitting the tree line. Simply amazing on what this light puts out when you need it to. - The throw is perfect. Previous lights were bright up close, but I could not see very far. This will light the path across my fields without issue. I can easily spot the sheep +400 ft away in the pastures. - Durability is amazing. I have only had this a couple of weeks, but it has been through some abuse. We’ve had a lot of rain lately and I dropped this while using as a spot lamp while driving the golf cart. Ended up running over the unit but it kept working and was easily found buried in the mud. - Highly customizable with the Anduril UI interface! At first this was very intimidating but once you get familiar with what counts as a click vs a hold it is quite easy to get into the sub menus and customize. The provide documentation is too small to read but a web link is provided to help you navigate the options. Make sure you are using the correct version, the generic instructions are not correct and missing key items, look for the Sofirn SP 36 (PRO) I attached as a picture. Good example of customization, want to turn off the button LEDs? Ten clicks with the last one being a hold (10H) puts you in the advanced mode. Then click seven times to change the setting to the next increment, off-low-high-blinking. You can return to standard mode with ten quick clicks (10C). I highly recommend this light, especially for the price I feel it cannot be beat!

Great for ice fishing!
The Sofirn SC31 is hands down one of the best flashlights I’ve owned. It’s super bright for its compact size, and the multiple brightness levels are really handy. The turbo mode lights up a huge area, while the lower modes are great when I don’t need as much power and want to save battery. What really impressed me is how reliable it’s been out on the ice. I’ve used it several times while ice fishing, and it works great. It’s lightweight and easy to clip on my jacket, plus the USB-C charging makes it hassle-free to recharge. The battery life holds up really well in the cold too. I ended up dropping it through one of my ice holes and my brother managed to fish it out and it still works great! Overall, this flashlight feels sturdy, dependable, and gives me the confidence that I’ll always have enough light, whether I’m around the house or out on the lake. Definitely worth it!

Love this light
I am a quality inspector working on commercial aircraft and I use this on a daily basis. I love the fact that you can hold the button down to to increase or decrease the brightness and that there is no strobe on this light. This light fits easily in my front pocket and it literally goes everywhere I go, including church. I don't have to charge this very often, I have gone a couple months before having to charge it, as I use it intermittently through out the day. When I need to brighten up an area I just double tap the button and I have instant brightness, click it again and it is back to where I had the brightness before. This is a great flashlight that I have owned for almost a year and I would definitely buy this again if anything happened to it.
